I mean these IP's don't need a monopoly, just cohesion of people genuinely wanting to create ART from them, which is why I feel more power of control over IP should be amongst it's developers and artists, NOT the current higher ups.

Thanks! I also thought of the Spectacular Spider-Man when I saw those deleted scenes from the movie. But I don't think it would have been connected to the Spectacular Spider-Man TV Show version of the character.

Maybe it wasn’t Tom Hollands MCU version, he was a variant from the Madame Web universe also played by Tom

I think they wanted to go with a variant as well and that one could die at the end of Secret Wars. Disney would have to play along with that though.

Yeah this kinda confirms Madame Web had no vision, it was a bunch of sony executives toying with this movie while having no idea what they are trying to make.

Madame Web really suffered from all of those last minute calls. It had the potential to be incredible, but they took too much away from it. As for the live action Spider-Man issue, I think they need to expand more on the live action possibilities. My first picks would be the voice actors for the cartoon and video game Peter Parkers. Let them suit up and do the smaller roles, sort of a Spider-Man B team.

Charlie 😂 I saw this a few days ago. It's the 'Back to Basics' suit ( Marvel Future Fight ). I got pictures with the 70's Spider-Man (don't remember the name); I wanted to meet him so someone in my family took me to meet him. I love ALL the Spider-Men, though I do like Tom Holland the most. Kraven is gonna bomb hard, too...it's kinda sad

Ngl, I love that Spectacular Spider-Man suit...

Some Sony executive somewhere: “ok guys, you know all those plans and ideas we had to bring in Tom and Andrew and make this movie amazing to draw in attention and box office numbers comparable to No Way Home? Yeah, scrap all that. I want this to be the biggest crap chute of a movie we’ve ever produced”

2:16 The new suit is officially called the “New red and blue suit” from the Spider-man: No way home art book, S.H.Figuarts, Funko Pop and in the Spider-man 2 game. It’s literally just called the New red and blue suit.

I’m surprised that Madame Web ended up being a monster-sized flop by Sony themselves not caring about the movie because there was no Spider-Man appearance. Maybe Sony should probably re-release the movie and call it “The Webbin’ Extended Cut” to add the alternative ending and the scenes that were missing from the poorly made trailer.

It’s really sad what Sony is doing because we all know if Stan Lee was still alive. He would not let this happen. You know growing up watching Spider-Man. It’s a part of our childhood and to watch it fall apart like this by Sony and Marvel doesn’t really have a saying it, which they do but sometimes I wonder if they don’t I just wish Stan Lee was here 😢

Im curious what they do with Tom Holland's SM eyes now that its a hand sewn suit. The emotive eyes were a complete game changer and genius implementation for showing comic book like reactions in the real world. Deadpools films do it as well and honestly it makes no sense but its a great effect.

They should put J Jona Jamesen on one of the Vision of Mademe Web

If they added thier own spiderman and had the narrators make it clear with a few lines like how the what if series used to say "the main x you know. But in another universe i know of one that... " i dont think anyone would mind. And it could potentially avoid all the legal holing of the character. The both still profit and we get good storytelling again. When reality hinders creative process we end up with things like madam web and captain marvel 2 😂😂😂

That was messed up!

I was confused with Madem Webb movie. I thought it was a prequel to the amazing Spider-Man movies but nope, that Spider-Man was born earlier. I was so hyped but fail soo after. I forgot most of the details of this movie. But i got a ton of spidy sense with the easter eggs, LOL.

Madam Webb shouldve been hinted in every spiderman movie from the first one

My guess is they explain the suit by being a plot thread in the past but MW and company stopped that from happening in the future so that’s why he has the suit.

Or they could’ve still added The Spectacular Spider-Man and should’ve had him played by Yuri the (Spider-Man game voice actor) and I would’ve accepted it like ok so that’s one variant of Yuri’s Spider-Man’s as he’s voiced Spider-Man in more than one project for example the insomniac Spider-Man’s game series and the marvels midnight suns which is more of card based game

This movie was gawd awful, no alternative ending can improve it.

I also think Marvel and Kevin Feige agreed with that. Thus they took all this stuff out.

They should have had an Easter Egg (mid credits) of future Spiderman with a "hood pull" of one or both Tom Holland and Andrew Garfield...this would "cement" Madam Web...it would have been better to have a live action scene of Miles Morales! That would have brought the house down!

I don’t think that was his old suit as you can see it doesn’t have the black shoulder marks and the eyes look a bit different. I’m just glad they didn’t go through with it cuz Sony just needs to share their rights to Marvel and let Marvel make and produce everything while they collect the checks as that’s the best for everyone

I think they should just make the venom universe completely separate from any other spiderman universes and have a completely new version of spiderman. This would clear some timeliness issues up, like none of the spiderwomen showing up in any other film.
