There is actually a second book that they wrote and some wanted to do a movie off of it and Tom Hanks said No because it was a movie that was better left standing alone and he was not the only one that felt this way. Other actors in that movie felt the same way namely Gary Sinise. There were other Directors and Producers that had this same feeling so the second movie was never made. I for one am happy that it wasn't because I feel that it could not have stood with the first by any means. It would've certainly have been a disaster and a complete loss at the box office or even worse... a laughing stock of movies and forever on their resume'

One of the best lines: "Oh, yes sir. Bit me right in the buttocks. They said it was a million dollar wound, but the army must keep that money 'cause I still haven't seen a nickel of that million dollars!"

The scene that still tugs at my heart is when Forrest Gump meets his son, Forrest. That's the scene in the movie that you realize that all this time Forrest Gump has known he is disabled and some people mocked him. When he learns that Forrest is his son he immediately says, "Well.... is he smart or....?" (disabled like me) 😢

Few months later couldn't help wanting to root for him fighting Fonzie on Happy Days. Or any idea how many times I watched Bachelor Party? I watched this movie by mistake the time l watched it, it was one of the fewest movies where l learnt that movies aren't all about action or horror and comedy. Its a beautiful masterpiece and as much as l'd happily watch it repeatedly, l am not ready for the emotional strain🥺🥺🥺

He literally lived the character in the movie FORREST GUMP. I couldn't control my tears at the end where he speakers to his wife's grave.

I think there is a common thread in that "end of running" scene in Forrest Gump, and the final scene in The Truman Show - where people - like puppets, or sheep - suddenly had to ask themselves "now what do we do?" At least in The Truman Show we got to see the answer - they just switched channels, and continued in their own opiated bedlam.

Age is less relevant than it used to be. So actors get grow hair, put on a few pounds and their skin sags a bit but they're still the same person. Harrison Ford as Han Solo, Bruce Willis as John McClane, Sylvester Stallone as Rambo or Rocky. When I look at someone I look at their eyes first not their body.

I also like to think about the days that Tom was a young man, mainly because I went to school with him. But I do appreciate the fact that he hasn't screwed his face up with plastic surgery or injected a ton of botox and fillers into himself. Apparently there's some kind of list that ranks celebrities by likeability. Tom Hanks and Morgan Freeman are at or near the top, while Kim Kardashian is rock bottom.

This is absolutely amazing. Tom Hanks is everything.

Whenever I feel the anxiety or worse, I always watch his movies. And the anxiety or stress instantly gone.

I have to say Tom Hanks is the only Hollywood actor I can truly say I like, His personality and he comes across as being so grounded, I would watch anything with Tom in it.

Tom Hanks- what a noble and gentleman. I have seen Forrest Gump many times and it is a great movie and what a legend Tom Hanks is.

This is what I LOVE about this show. A variety of guests on a couch telling stories, laughing and having a good time.

Forrest Gump, Woody, Walt Disney,...This man has done so many great roles.
