It shouldn't be complete until plunkett gets in. Noone should bring up his stats other than the 2 superbowl wins because if we are gonna look at all stats go look at Namaths stat. Namath got in for simply winning 1 game

As a Mexican American, I’m very happy and proud of Mr. Flores, to not only represent the Raiders in the HOF but to also represent the Latino community. His legacy will live for ever. I will teach my future children about this man and show them that he looks just like them so they can continue on his legacy and know they can accomplish anything in life.

I'm from Dallas...life-long Cowboys fan...as a kid I would read about Coach Flores and Jim Plunkett...they were a source of pride for me... I find it hypocritical that the NFL crys diversity but doesn't mention his ethnicity

As a Chargers fan, and growing up in the Valley I truly and strongly dislike the Raiders, but I love the game and Coach has meant a lot to Latinos, I legit cried seeing this, im glad he finally is going into the Hall

Not a Raider fan, but this is about as close to perfect as you can get. They made a special trip two weeks before the announcement to convey the news to Tom at Palm Springs. Note to the wife and Tom: If the owners shows up with Dave Baker, you know it's real! Dave Baker is good at these things, but this one appeared much more heartfelt and you could sense a different level of emotion coming out of him as he spoke those magical words. I love it when the AFLer's get their due, and Tom was in the league as a player for the entire 10 year run. A perfect hire by Davis to replace Madden. Flores has always struck me as humble, and boy did he know how to manage people! Well done and well deserved!

Not gonna lie. I shed a tear watching this. Long overdue but so well deserved. Congrats Coach Flores!!! U have achieved football immortality.

This just broke me down. I grew up in Fresno, 10 minutes away from Coach Flores hometown of Sanger. When I broke in the news business as a budding sports reporter, the first story I covered was the Sanger vs Bakersfield Christian section title game played on Tom Flores Field in 2007. As a Raiders fan who grew up in the Central Valley, Coach Flores is the epitome of what was possible. I'm Black but a ton of my friends were (and still are) Hispanic and with good reason, Coach and Jim Plunkett are their guys. I'm proud as a member of Raider Nation, as a man who has gotten to meet Coach Flores, and as someone who loves this history of our team and the game. God willing, I'm going to be there in Canton this summer to watch Coach Flores and Charles Woodson take their rightful place in immortality. Well earned, beyond well deserved.

Awesome awesome. Thanks for telling us your story. I became a fan in the early early 80s when the Raiders mystique was on full display. We didn’t have a team in Indianapolis. It was either Bengals or Bears, and I admired how Al Davis and his team had so many colorful players and so much charisma. Tom Flores was also a part of that story. My family has lots of California roots and I’ve been there many times. I just can’t seem to give up my Raiders. LA, Oakland, Las Vegas, Los Raiders!!! RN4L! Hope you make it to Canton this summer, brother.

The race thing, Manu ... Americans have grown weary with the never-ending focus of it. Tom Flores is an exemplary American who was a great coach. Best we not focus on one's race anymore, since doing so -- especially this past year -- has proven detrimental to the American spirit.

Still learning about the great history of the raiders, he and his team is where I started my love for football. Just win baby

I cried in 2011 when they announced that Al Davis past away and also watching Tom Flores finally make it 😢 I was angry in how they did the Snake 🐍 and sad Cliff Branch past away and ain’t in having similar stats like Lynn Swann

Best thing I’ve seen in a long long time! So happy for Coach Flores and his family! Thank you for sharing this, and allowing a great coach, a great man, get into the HOF while he is still with us! Thee first Mexican-American head coach in the NFL! This is huge! I’m German/Scottish /Swedish American and Mexican-American, and I’m aware what a huge deal this is for not only the many Mexican-American Raider fans, but the Latino community as a whole, and for all Americans and Raider fans! One of the many reasons why , since I was 8 years old in 1976, the great maddon team with The Snake, Tooz, The assassin, Lester the molester Hayes you name it , the players that bridged that gap between that team and the 1982 team! It’s just a whole team of HOF caliber players and people! MR Al Davis was a trailblazer, and why I always defend him, any person that can go against everyone , and ensure everyone has an equal opportunity, a level playing field. Mr Davis hired the first Mexican-American head coach Flores, the first Afro-American head coach Art Shell, hired the first Female Executive, Amy Trask! In my eyes, any human being that can do that, in a time no one was, has got to be a decent good human being! I only wish Mr Al Davis was here to slip the jacket on Coach Flores but his son Mark is a chip off the ol block! What an honor, and this made me feel really good! Damn MFers made a grown man shed a tear! Congrats Coach!

I have been a Packers fan since 1967. But I absolutely adore and respect this wonderful man. He never complained about not being inducted into HOF. ONE HELL OF A LEADER. This should inspire you to never give up. Walk and Talk with your head high. I prayed several years for this to happen.

Growing up outside of Chicago I’ve always been a Bears fan. But in the 60s & 70s although they had some great players they just didn’t have it as a team. So I had a back up team and that was the Oakland Raiders. Loved everything about them. So congratulations to Coach and Raider Nation.
