I wouldn’t be surprised if Marius didn’t realise that he’s not chopping against 45/64/34. That would explain the quick call.

in PLO you have to use two of your own cards, and three cards of the board. So A4xx has a 5 high straight while 56xx/64xx/34xx would have had a 6 high straight@@shashankshekhar3753

I dont know how marius makes that call. Best case scenario he's getting free rolled. Tom can easily have better straights there.

what exactly would Tom be afraid of here? I dont rlly play plo just watch these kinds of videos as entertainment. But as far as I can tell he’s only really “crushed” by a 7 high straight / 7high straight + higher flush redraw. And then he has more equal equity against sets + redraw but I would assume still has the equity advantage? It seems like 75% of the time or more he’s free-rolling or getting it in good no? or is my plo intuition way off. like is he actually behind a lot of set + redraw or straight + higher flush draw hands?

Your buddy Kakitee made a point during his watchparty of this stream that the only way that Durrrr made this raise is that he made the board misread and didnt realize how his hand interacts with the board. I agree with that. There really is no reason why Marius couldnt have him beat here and play it exactly the same, and also Durrrs hand blocks some of the continuing range of Marius with the Q and Js. If this was due to some sick read or exploit of Dwan, then it was a misread as well since there clearly isnt a better hand that Marius would fold. So imo all three whaled it off. Charles postflop play was atrocious, Durrrs raise was maybe just a misread or an overplay, and Marius call is somewhat understandable with the blockers, but still very likely a fold since he is just stone dead against value.

Marius has to find a fold there. He's ahead of flush draws, two pairs, and sets, but many times also drawing dead. I'm curious what he thinks that Dwan is potting with in that spot.

I have a couple of beginner's questions: They dealt two cards on the river, right? Is this something they always do in this particular game, or is it something that one or both of the players have to ask for?

Everyone was all-in @ turn..all 3 players have to agree to the number of rivers... AND casino has to allow it.. it's the same as often happens in high-roller Texas Holdem... (It's done for numerous reasons...one being reducing short-term/momentary variance) Dangers are... Mistakes in the chopping, and dragging/slowing game flow.. Charles was already All-in, so there's a side-pot chop, also... High/low already has these disadvantages, and multiple run-outs + multiple all-ins can take 5-15 minutes... IE 3-5 hands an hour...

One HAS to play any 2 cards from their hand, and ONLY 3 cards from the board... It's why nobody had the 6 high straight... The side players were required to make a 5 card straight.. A4 versus A4, only 2 cards in their respective hands that made a straight... One card + 4 on the board is Not a legitimate (valid) Omaha hand...

Marius just didnt' believe Dwan. He correctly read that Dwan wanted to apply pressure to get non nutted hands to fold. He's a 2:1 underdog when he makes the call I don't think he realizes that the best he can do is chop. Dwan's table image works against him. Given the table dynamics as well given how much betting there was going before hand on he made the right call.
