a little, but he'll almost always play any Kx minus two pair this way. what happens when you get raised by a LAG on that somewhat wet turn and youre holding KJ, KQ? now youre most likely facing a huge river bet from dwan with a bluff catcher. its either Kx or nothing. tom just made a good call.

@Fuck You I’m a good amateur player, but I’ve only been seriously playing the game for a year. But I agree. So many loose players. Unfortunately I caught the worst run of my life past month. Every shove or called shove I’ve made I’ve either been flipping or ahead 70:30 minimum. Often 80:20. I would say I lost about 60% or more of those shoves. Getting to the point, I would just expect to lose. Still make the shove and be theoretically ahead. And they make their hand on the river etc. Feel good that you get it all in when you’re ahead. But frustrated you consistently lose when you’re ahead

Middle position calls and i call cause small blind had been betting me off hands frequently. Turn is a 6. Checks around. River is a 4 and small blind leads for $40. Middle position folds. Im thinking if he had a 9 he might of wiffed on an open ender. I had already talked him into showing 1 card in a couple previous hands. He says you want to see one. I said yeah. He showed a 9. I thought about 10 seconds and called and he said what do you got two pair? I tabled the deuces and he showed A9. Table couldn't believe i called with deuces and won.

I just watched more recent Patrick interview in finnish and he said what he used to do when online cash games opened up like 1999 or something and he learned very quickly by just going into differend situations with every hand and realize like what works and what doesn't. Then in 2months he had made 200e into 30k and after the bigger cash games opened up he saw it more as an investment to go play bigger money online against best of the world, he might lose big money and get the expertize of what they do from playing against them and then grind the lost money back in smaller games and so on. Ofcourse it's not half a mill pots, he said like at that time he went over the limit some odd times with around 100k a day but managed the money on average very well. Like when he started to really learn the game seriously around after those experiences that started when he was 18 or something so in a year he had 100k and in few 2mill and so on. These kinda televised games are ofcourse later in his career but because of the exposure and everything it's propably worth to lose it even if it's grinding to get it back. But yes, it must still hurt.

When you have kings, you must really want to ward off other players who have weaker hands to develop a straight. Although Antonius bet big on the pre-flop, the check on the turn told Tom his opponent didn't catch anything, and that would mean he had suited hands with Ace High or King High or any hand with Ace and Queen or Ace and Jack.

Patrick made a great river bet.. could have had ak easily there… good stuff Dwan.. pot control to not bet the turn.

Pot control on the turn doesn't quite make sense with a hand as strong as AK, you dominate everything but trips and AA on that board Letting him peel a free card on the River to make 2 pair seems too risky, Tom probably put him on a strong Ace...but I can definitely see how AK could be played that way. Risky call either way

exactly..no reason for AK to check the turn if he already had it imo. can't really think of anything that makes sense with the river bet except maybe A3 lol
