I know this is from 2006, but geez Phil Ivey has a pocket pair every other hand in this series
Can someone explain me how Helmuth won all these bracelets?
When Mike looked at his hand, he tipped off Ivey that if he had a flush, it was pretty insignificant. So repping a bigger flush or boat made sense.
If Jennifer Harman was a top 3 cash game player in the world, I was born in Antarctica
He turned the mouth to the mouse
How the fuck is this the sickest hand ever? Hahaha
Why tf don’t these old poker vids have the year of the actual game
The board got worse and worse for Mike's range and it was obvious he wasn't betting strong on the river, which Ivey would exploit a lot of the time. Ivey reps a full house. Ac would most likely directly bet river after c/c on turn. It would have been a great call, but probably also an objectively correct one.
Dude shouldn't have been playing poker if he didnt have the money to call a raise with K high flush. The pressure of losing another 30k lost him the hand. If he had been deep stacked enough to begin with he would've let it rip regardless if he looses or not bc that hand is good enough to win 99% of the time. Phil wasn't playing with cards- he was playing with fear and greed.
When was this
Poor Mikey lol. Guy NEVER gets lucky on other people and ALWAYS makes the right play! How unlucky!
How to go broke 😮😮😮
"thin-value beters" 💔
Tony played it like a huge draw on the turn.
Matusow in intro … ‘no one intimidates me.’ Then goes on to play about 10 hands in the whole season.
I would have raised and go til the end. That's the second best flush you can get. And if i lose to a Ace i could live with that.
The best bluff is mikee 5 2 os
Running bad or playing the hand with 8 10 of hearts? Seems like an easy hand to fold
Tony G - do you want insurance? Mike M - I didn’t know what that meant … A few seconds later in interview, ‘that’s why I wanted insurance.’
Anyone else get the feeling that the commentator wants to blow Antonius? All he goes on about, every episode, is his looks, while talking non stop shite during every single hand.
Sick of hearing ‘overbets the pot.’ It’s called no limit for a reason.
Nice to see money hasn’t gone to Feldman’s head and he remains so balanced and unarrogant in the interview
THAT’S the worst beat in poker you’ve ever had after playing it your whole adult life?!
I wanna get insurance on this hand even though a few seconds ago I say I dunno what insurance is.
“I’ve noticed they all take a long time with their decisions.” You gotta love the insightful commentary. Presumably if this guy was sat with half a million he’d be making decisions in seconds. My favourite bits though are the episodes where they explain the rules.
the tell detecting goat
was and still is one of the goats
he gets lucky to flop top 2, needs to dodge a 2, an ace, or running same cards...it's not insane at all, clickbait idiot title
2:41 Gus Hansen leg "tell"
DON’T call Chris “Jesus”!!! He is one of the Full Tilt THIEVES!
Just play AA KK against ferguson
Eric Seidel a true gentleman and fantastic poker player
I'm British and even I cringed when i heard that commentor pronounce some of these names.. Tom Dawn especially lol
It's all about the game, has to be fun
What was the buy in to the tournament
Everyone says that stuff to themselves when they lose pots like that. But the memory is so short when THEY are on the winning end of a suck out. I’ve seen Mike on a reel from WSOP where he cried like a baby when he lost but on that same reel two hands before he hit a miracle 7 to knock someone out in a pot that he was a 3-1 dog in. He says nothing about that, except that “it was meant to be it’s his time.”
Gus: Never underestimate Howard Lederer's sneakiness. Great forshadowing since Lederer pulled that scam in online poker and is hated by everyone now.
Omg ,can we take kids out of the game
How bout Moneymakers bluff at the WSOP!!!
link to the whole play?
I couldn't sit there listening to them play with those chips constantly
Tbh, Hansen looked uncomfortable after Ivey bluffed the river. Don’t think Ivey’s play was that bad, but Hansen had the upper portion of his range.
Too slow
Matsow going on about what a big fold this is going to be. He's a fish compared to Ivy.
Matsow thinking how great he is for making this fold.
42:45 Dwan is bluffing and Hanson is pushing all in. Kommentator:" He has read the situation right this time" No he didn't. He would have just called, if he knew Dwan was bluffing. His play was just bad.
"and Phil Ivey not happy at all" No...I guess he isn't
The way Phil Ivey "talks trash" reminds me of my mother. Years ago, my son and I were visiting my parents during the NBA Finals. My parents, although in their late 70's at the time, had the NBA Ticket and would watch the Golden State Warriors no matter how late they played and were big fans of Steph Curry. My son has been a fan of LeBron James from the time he knew what a basketball was and we had all retired to the family room after a wonderful dinner. Kevin Durant was giving the entire Cavaliers team a lesson and their lead seemed to be growing by the minute. My mom brought my son a generous portion of cake and ice cream, handed it to him, and then asked, "Are you enjoying the game?" She then sat down next to him in her recliner, returned her gaze to the game with a wry smile on her face. It was kind and brutal at the same time.
Feldman? more like FeltedMan :D
Some nerve putting howard leferer's picture on the thumbnail. Tell me who wants to watch this video with him in it. Him and his sister can move to another planet.
