Bad decision from Tom to release it before Barbieheimer, but what a film and experience this was in cinemas. The best of the year. The only real contender is JW 4.

Tom Cruise is truly amazing. He’s gone from an ‘80s pin-up to Mr. Cinema. The craftsmanship, inventiveness and sheer excitement in his action scenes is kind of unparalleled. We’re lucky to have this exceptional man making movies.

This movie was actually Perfect. From beginning to end. Can't wait for the next installment. Seriously.

Yeah, uncharted comes to mind but this is on another level, nerve-wracking level. Amazingly cool sequence! Tom rules!✌️

As much of how I love the uncharted games, this scene really blew my mind on how this set was so similar in the 2nd the game.

When I saw this scene in the theater, I remember each cart scene got different reactions from the audience, it's so good.

I watched this movie in 4DX, it was best cinema experience for real. Even in laptops and mobile this scene is nail biting All hail to Makers 🛐

What I love about the last part when he jumps up to the bar... is the grunt! You can tell he really was doing the stunts. You try doing that at 62 years old! Incredible.

I became a Mission: Impossible fan just a few days before this came out because my brother is a fan and he was watching all the movies to catch up. We went to see this that weekend, and I’ve NEVER been as on the edge of my seat at theater as I was during this scene. Can’t wait for the eight movie ❤

I’m en of the most intense film scenes I’ve ever seen I was holding my breath the whole time!

2:42 and 5:14 , especially 5:14 , were moments so strangely edited that I was even watching it for the first time in IMAX taken out of the scene. We see Hunt and Grace escape the second to last car without any struggle, even though they would have to climb up out the other way, then we awkwardly cut in the second one from Pom arriving just in time to save the pair to the three just watching the last car fall, which is especially infuriating as it takes me out of the tension of what should be the climax of the situation. And I know that there was a 3 hour 5 minute version of the movie that was test screened, but was mandated a cutdown by Paramount. Who wants to bet the longer version edits this scene (and other weird instances of editing in this movie) better? #releasethemcquarriecut

Yeah that second edit was especially anticlimactic. Also the idea of Pom's character (who was pretty seriously injured by this point if I recall) somehow managing to hold the combined weight of the other characters was a stretch too far for me too.

Agreed. I noticed the cuts too when watching and was annoyed that they ruined the tension of the scene. I figured it was edited down to lower the runtime. I bet the entire sequence is longer and, hopefully, part of the deleted scenes.

If only we’ve Tom cruise in real life, one in each country and each field, fighting only for the right things and well-being of humanity AND most importantly wins all of the fights against all of the odds!

Man… This whole scene was so suspenseful, Neve racking, and My heart was Racing so much 3:58 I wanted to scream so bad because my anxiety was through the roof

After The dark knight rises opening scene this it made my heart beat strongly, the tense music when Ethan can no longer hold the tube is amazing. I'm 19 yo and this was my first cinema experience I'am so lucky... The best action movie ever made for now

Just in case you didn't know, there is an identical scene in the Uncharted games, but you had to climb only one wagon and it was in the Himalayas. I think this scene was inspired by that level from the video game.

Biggest complaint about this movie, and for the record...I liked it, was it went from one set of impossible stunts to the next to the next with very little narrative beyond extended chase sequences. It's a bit like the John Wick movies eventually the gun fights get tedious to watch. At least the last one had a nice pistol duel showdown at sunrise.
