He actually does all his own driving, because according to the stunt co-ordinatior he doesn't have anyone as good as Tom

Everyone always talks about Tom's lap, but Diaz had an amazing lap. She also doesn't seem like the type of person who would know how to drive a manual, but she killed it. Probably the best celeb in a reasonably priced car ever in top gears history.

Stunt pilot, regular pilot, stunt helicopter pilot, does his own stunt car driving and motorcycle stunt riding, drives F1 car almost as fast as a formula 1 driver, highly under rated actor and genuinely nice guy. What a guy.

A celebrity in america is like a rich child in a sheltered home. They havent had like. REAL experiences, everyting is so fake and fabricated, thats probably one of the first times they actually got to go in a car that wasnt there, where everything wasnt under their control, and had a bit of real fun. lol

@@realchilldude1271 I'm sure that's the case for some celebs who really do give most celebs a bad rep, but it is a generalisation. There was a time where Tom Cruise was light with the whole Oprah thing but people who work with him have all said he is a consummate professional and super generous. I really doubt he likes to be driven around, he is a hands on actor who does most of his own stunts, not just his own stunts but stunts that no other Hollywood actor would even dare.

Tom Cruise's lap looked like an action movie. That was a raw stunt lap.

Tom's lap was awesome,especially that part when his two wheels lifted off from the ground for a moment! he is a risk taker,that's what I like most about him!

Two wheels are better than 4 especially for tom cruise

Came here after the grand tour finale. That 2 wheel cruise was so legendary, they included it in the final montage of the greatest moments of the Clarkson-May-Hammond trinity!

I had a huge smile on my face when Cameron heard her time. I was so happy for her!

4:30 Tom cruise has that “I’m so happy for you but actually I’m really not” smile when Cameron Diaz gets fastest lap lol

These two, unlike most other guests seem genuinely happy to be on the show. Tom was a big fan of the show, idk about Diaz I believe she also watches it. Still, looks like they had a wonderful time on the show and this was peak Top Gear. Amazing days

Considering they are used to drive on the other side, with automatic gear, this was quite a extraordinary performance.

Tom and Cameron seem to have great friendship. He seems so affectionate towards his female friends. I've seen his interactions with other women, eg Gwyneth Paltrow, Rosie, Oprah, he seems to have genuine affection for them, who may or may have thirsted after him at one point in their lives haha. When he tells Cameron, "good luck", he looked like a sweet, supportive older brother. My heart.

I like Cameron Diaz's attitude, honestly I had a happy smile on my face when I saw this vid. Those two actors have so much charisma in them, and the funny thing is that their time were still at the top for a while.

It's obvious who of the two is faster. Great effect when Tom's car is traveling on only two wheels. He is phenomenal and seems like a fun guy to be around!

I'm seeing it for the first time in years, and I'm still blown away. That was awesome.

The way Tom did the lap was "thought" to be slow but was quicker eventually! Marvellous driving!

Tom Cruise managed to both have the fastest time and still doing a 2 wheel. He must be made out of pure awesomeness.

Tom cruise is one of the most genuine down to earth ppl on the planet. Hardest working actor. Puts 110 percent into every one of his films. Does all his own stunts. And is one of the greatest actors ever. And here, you can tell he's a genuine fan and looked suprised so fuck the scientology hate for tom cruise.

So awesome! A great moment in Top Gear History!
