Tom Brady defeats Belichick & Patriots in Week 4 - Skip & Shannon react | NFL | UNDISPUTED

Спорт

Tom Brady made his much-anticipated return to Foxborough last night, and the 7-time champion got the last laugh over Bill Belichick as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers escaped with a 19-17 win. Rainy conditions slowed down both offenses much of the night, and the New England Patriots missed a 56-yard field goal to take the lead with less than a minute to go. Hear Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe's biggest takeaways from the Battle of Foxborough.

So unless the extra game on the schedule now over the next couple years ends up being the Patriots then the only chance Bill will have to beat Brady again will be in 4 years which I mean Brady might still be playing lol but either way I would imagine the next game is gonna be in Tampa Bay so that god awful weather most likely won’t happen again I mean it could it’s not like it doesn’t rain in Tampa lol but you get the point. I am glad Brady won because now he’s beat everyone but he’s also undefeated with like 3 or 4 teams lol the cowboys, the falcons and I think the redskins? I’ve also watched every Bucs game this season and this was by far Tom’s worst game of the year so far. I wouldn’t put the entire blame on him because you’re right there were a lot of drive killing drops by Brown and Evans and you could really feel the absence of Gronk. That being said he looked pretty damn off though like I’ve never seen him miss that many throws in games. He usually makes these plays with great dime passes. He wasn’t awful and yeah he didn’t make any mistakes but I can’t say he played fine either. We can use the weather excuse all we want but he’s played there for 20 years so he knows what he’s dealing with. I also think the Pats defense played a great game on their passing attack, of course Bellichick knows Tom better than anyone and Tom for sure had some nerves.

@@MapleGlazedDonuts Actually he smiled a lot when talked about the call but then he still gave him lower marks and discounted Tom. It may not be as aggressively negative but it is still heavily biased. When it comes to Tom winning a game Shannon tends to credit the TBB oline/defense/receivers. If pressed to talk about Brady's performance directly Shannon tends to dismiss it as He's suppose to win against The [Insert team name.] I think Shannon is a good man and he was an extremely talented player. I admire that Shannon is, by far, the most physically fit retired NFL player. Having said all that I think that envy is something Shannon struggles with and it is his least attractive quality. When he finally admitted that he was "tired of him (TB12) winning" He really meant it. Furthermore, I believe it rankles him that Tom has been able to continue to play at his "advanced" age. I believe it bothers him that Brady is the most dominant player and possibly the least athletic. The other reason why I believe that Shannon struggles with envy is his behavior during the TE Roundtable. Gonzalez was chosen as the moderator and Shannon was irked by that. He clearly felt he should have been chosen so he hijacked the discussion. Unfortunately Tony has a terrible poker face so it was obvious what Shannon was doing and how Tony felt about it. Not cool. But none of us our perfect, and all we can do is try to be a bit better everyday.

I also believe that many a truth is told in jest and also in these opposition sports shows. Shannon is a competitive dude. Most of these guys are and if their bodies hadn't of quit on them they would've played till they were 44+ years old. It must be incredibly difficult to step away form a sport that you devoted your childhood and young adulthood to. And it would be difficult not envy a man that has done it so well.
