Monday May 12, 2024 I celebrate 20 years sober. I enjoy listening to AA speakers. He is my favorite
I have listened to dozens and dozens of speaker tapes and to me this is the gold standard. Tom was absolutely brilliant. Thank you so much for posting this.🤙🏽
This video sobered me up 5-years ago and I have stayed sober since. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for posting this. “Ale, man, ale’s the stuff to drink For fellows whom it hurts to think: Look into the pewter pot To see the world as the world’s not. And faith, ’tis pleasant till ’tis past: The mischief is that ’twill not last. Oh I have been to Ludlow fair And left my necktie God knows where, And carried half way home, or near, Pints and quarts of Ludlow beer: Then the world seemed none so bad, And I myself a sterling lad; And down in lovely muck I’ve lain, Happy till I woke again. Then I saw the morning sky: Heigho, the tale was all a lie; The world, it was the old world yet, I was I, my things were wet, And nothing now remained to do But begin the game anew” Thank you Tom.
Great Video, By Gods Grace I Been Sober From Alcohol 4Years And Some Months, My Sober Date Is July 21st, 2014, I was 3Weeks Sober Going into A.A., My Sponsor Is Awesome and My Best Friend, My Sponsor Is A Better Father to me than my Real Father
Tom nailed it. This video sums up the domination of substance abuse.
He really understood addiction and was always happy to take your call at any hour or meet up if u needed to talk. I was 14 in a rehab center back in the 80s when I had to listen to his class as part of our youth treatment program and he and his wife became two of my closest friends. He passed many years ago but I still have all the letters, books and videos he would send and all these years later for this video to pop up on my interest feed is a blessing. I needed to see this video. Not a coincidence. Miss you always Tom .

This really is one of the best
This video changed me. There are no words for this
I had the privilege of attending some meetings with him in the early 90s. What struck me the most, he was no longer a smoker but he had the humility to clean ashtrays after the meeting.
Absolutely blown away by this man what a humble intelligent loving vessel ❤️
Well done, good and faithful servant!
OMG! Tom B has THE best message I have ever heard!

Hi Fellow alcoholics and druuuuuug addicts.🦚
Best ever for me that is god bless his soul what a man what a god man bless and the message carries on omg
Bless this man 🙏
This guy is really good. He talks The talk because he has walked the walk.
This is the best talk on the subject of addiction to D & A in the history of the universe!! He is spot on.
That was beautiful, the ending part of his monologue brought tears to my eyes.
Fantastic bless you buddy god so helpful so gratteful to you for explaining it clearly comming up to thirteen years day at a time and with gods grace and love and action in aa
Right on .. simple and .. identification achieved. Vital
Yes, you are what you're looking for...yet the see'r can't be seen it's only known. God bless the AA fellowship and them drunks that show us the way out. Thanks for the post, excellent ESH.
It should be mandatory to learn this in school. Religion isn't teaching about who you are. It is teaching ideology and persuasive critical decisions. Confusing people to act in extreme measures.
This guy is my favourite speaker this particular speech is just so blessed what a man and it takes a real man and a real woman to do these twelve steps and live this way of life as a friend once told me you can have a fantastic life without drink and drugs but it takes a real man to do it Stewart I am by gods grace a day at a time a second at a time that man
thank you Tom RIP
@28 minutes he's spot on.
Spot on! Everything he said
This man truly understands what it means to be an alcoholic and/or addict and the real solution also. So important to take that honest first step. Excellent presentation. Ty.

I'm not a alcoholic I'm a stimulus augmenter with lots of cognitive dissonance. I have occasional maladaptive perfectionism but that's other folks fault 😂😂😂 LoL . Love this message it has encouraged me and given me strength and hope for today ❣️🙏 God bless all ☺️🌞🌄💛
The best teaching of asking yourself if you have a addiction problem. We can lie to everyone but we can't lie to ourselves...🛩️✌️

"In each of us is a 'knower' which is powerful and wise. Intelligence is recognizing what is good for me, and what is not good for me based on my past experience. When I cannot recognize what is good for me and do it, or what is bad for me and not do it, then I am insane." Tom Brady Jr. 41:00 from the lecture what is the problem?
