He is not the same Jon Jones, and I genuinely believe the fact that Tom Aspinall will go through him and destroy his legacy. It's a good assumption that he is the real champ and I think he may even defend it a few times but all this is to be seen. So let's wait and watch. Also before commenting I went to see the heavyweight division and he can say he wants to be active but there are like 2/3 guys to fight rest are not even contender level.

Jones is afraid he’ll lose, I can see that personally, he’s going around saying Aspinall isn’t important enough to determine his agenda, like the narcissist he is, it’s the same as saying I’m ducking the risky fight. All about ego, the fear of bruised ego and public embarrassment. Actually I think there would be more honor to gain for Jones should he beat Aspinall instead of Stipe who’s years past his prime. But his ego could not take the L. But for Stipe I think it’s more fear of losing that one last opportunity to fight Jones, to be considered the true GOAT himself, AND make a big pay-day before retirement, than it is what people think of him or the fear of embarrassment. If Stipe loses to Aspinall, all chances of fighting Jones are gone forever. But Stipe should know better and fight Aspinall asap nevertheless, because I don’t think Jones will be back, and winning against all odds would benefit his status more. And if he loses to Aspinall, people will be kinder, “he was too old anyway”. Tommy should fight GANE, if Jones and Stipe won’t play. Gane is still a handful, a tremendous stand-up fighter with great movement, if he has gathered himself mentally from his losses.

To be honest both sides do have an argument. Prior to the pav fight there was 0 argument or even talks for tom to fight jones and that fight only happened just because jon got injured. He has wanted stipe for a year now, jon obviously views stipe as better on his resume bc stipe is considered a goat, even if it’s past his prime. Tom could go on to suffer 10Kos, imagine if jon beats tom and that happens, it was basically a waste and at his age, all that activity will be more wearing. Stipe rn is the safer bet ALTHOUGH it’s likely tom will go on to have a good career and be the better name ti have on his resume, i just think jon is reluctant to take the risk. On the other hand, i get toms side because he has done all he can to get this shot and is interim champ so should be fighting for undisputed regardless of bouts booked beforehand. Oliveria v islam never got rebooked and charles now has to beat the other title contender BUT maybe bc jon and stipe are goats, they have some leeway allowed to not do this? Especially when interim belts have been defended in the past. There is a chance the fight happens but defo not till 2025. One thing is for certain jon v tom is the most interesting fight

From what I saw in the Reyes fight and considering Tom's perfect boxing and power,he 100% beat the Jones of today.Keep in mind Jones got his head boxed around by Reyes for 3 rounds and 100% got gifted the win.He had an easy tune up fight against a very limited striker in Gane but nothing to worry for Tom.There is a reason why Jones is avoiding this fight and he never avoided a single in his career except maybe when he waited until Ngannou retired to comeback but thats just speculation.He knows Tom is a problem for him...he knows.

Tom's right, Jones shouldn't be able to hold up the division. Especially when you consider that Jones didn't even compete as a heavy weight during his career, and essentially manufactured a legacy fight that gave him an undeserved title. I, like many others, consider Jones the greatest fighter of all time. Unfortunately, he's using this as leverage to demand a fight that no one wants to see, and at the expense of every other contender in the division. If Jones doesn't want to fight Aspinall, he should be stripped. If Jon wanted to be held in such high regards, he should have considered laying off the white girl and avoided sandblasting prostitutes.

It's such a big shame that Gane got to fight both Francis and Jon instead of Aspinall who isn't scared to death like Gane and always tries to win either by a ko or a submission win. Anyway, unless he tries to attack Jon at a strip club or something just to get the fight against him, he should just start cleaning out the division...

That’s because back then Gane was what Tom Aspinal is right now! A lot of “hype” Jon throughout his career has seen/heard and fought them all and eventually derailed all the hype-trains that came throughout Jon’s career. Jon v’s Stipe’s fight was booked way before Tom became interim hw champ. Their’s a reason for that fight for Jon & Stipe(“legacy fight” which they both respectfully earned) I’m a Tom Aspinal fan I think he’s the next big thing, but come on bro!

Aries has NEVER acted like any previous interim champion was a true champion. He's always talked about it exactly the way you should. Like it's a place holder belt. Just a piece of it. He's even said he doesn't like interim belts on multiple occasions. Now Aspinal has the interim belt and since he won, Ariel hasn't shut up about it and acting like Tom is undisputed champ. Its because Ariel has been blowing Tom's horn for months before tge interim belt and Ariel absolutely LOVES to be the "I told you so" guy. So he's being dramatic to stroke his own ego. Ariel has grown to be such a slimy dude and become so unlikable over the past year or two. I used to really enjoy his full shows. Now I trudge through only guest interviews just to hear from the fighters, and it's still tough.

I say if you're champ and there's an interim champ you MUST defend against the interim champ first and foremost no excuses. Love to hear Tom talk like this. In the end Bones wants two things to fight Tom, he wants it to be a big fight with lots of hype and financial gain, he also wants Tom to make him hungry for the fight. Jones has been in this game fighting for so long, each guy was a murderer, so Jon is probs desensitised to it regardless of the danger. He wants Tom to give him the hunger to want to get up and train and go through another camp. Jon has hinted at this, and Tom is doing the right thing. Jon can't call himself the Heavyweight King without beating a dominant interim in Tom.

The way he dealt with Sergei P with an injury is scary. I sadly dont think JJ will ever fight him.

These 2 guys ALTEADY had this fight scheduled and both pretty much said they were going to retire either way afterwards this is a big time Legacy fight the best of all time against the best heavyweight of all time it's not their fault that Dana White made Tom's last fight for an interim belt when he knew damn well that the Jones fight was just being rescheduled and they weren't going to be fighting each other before Stipe. This is on Dana White not Jon Jones or stipe

From what I saw in the Reyes fight and considering Tom's perfect boxing and power,he 100% beat the Jones of today.Keep in mind Jones got his head boxed around by Reyes for 3 rounds and 100% got gifted the win.Had an easy tune up fight against a very limited striker in Gane but nothing to worry for Tom.There is a reason why Jones is avoiding this fight and he never avoided a single in his career except maybe when he waited until Ngannou retired to comeback but thats just speculation.He knows Tom is a problem for him...he knows.

Tom Aspinall could very well become the best HW ever. Love watching that guy fight, I just wish they lasted more than 1 round.

Tom's on a whole other level Hasn't even been remotely tested Can't see anyone knock him off his throne, though a fight with Jones would probably test both of them Difference is Tom is a true heavyweight and that's enough to make the difference there
