Jenga*. There is no such thing as this "Benga" that you speak of and as such, no copies of it were ever sold. Please report to a member of the Yogscast's legal team for 're-education'.

The thing is, that’s not intrinsically a problematic setup if you just have them be regular people who have to be crafty with their knowledge.

Some fun ideas: 1. One of the infant Primarchs was raised by friendly xenos races and fought against the Imperium. 2. One rebelled against the Imperium because the Imperium was too cruel and monstrous towards humans and peaceful xenos races. 3. One got bodyjacked by a rogue AI or possessed by a daemon. 4. One was too ambitious and power-hungry, and decided to try and conquer the Imperium (edit: which would differ somewhat from Horus, who was motivated more by resentment and a belief that the Emperor had failed). 5. One got found by Orks and somehow became a Warboss (bit like the Digganobz). 6. One got captured by the Rangdan or another aggressive xenos race as a child, and was enslaved and used as a living weapon against the Imperium.

@@battenburg6089 A few points: 1) The Horus Heresy would have been a much larger and far more cataclysmic than a rebellion by the II or XI legions, and far harder to conceal from absolutely everyone 2) By the end of the Horus Heresy the Emperor is basically a corpse, and Malcador is dead. Who would give the order to cover it up to the same degree? 3) In a certain sense there is still a cover up, since the Imperium suppresses knowledge of Chaos and the existence of the Traitor Primarchs and Chaos Space Marines. Ordinary people don't know about the Horus Heresy at all. It's just that there are more people who we encounter who know the truth, like Space Marines, Inquisitors, senior officials, and important nobles etc. So, all in all, I think it does make sense actually.

  • @MrSumphora

@@drafezard7315 Like I said in my other reply, you're ignoring the difference of scale, and the fact that would make a coverup much harder, since basically the entire Imperium was devastated and half the Primarchs turned traitor. Moreover, with the Emperor incapacitated and Malcador dead, there wouldn't really be anyone who could enforce a perfect coverup anyway. And again, it still has to be said that the Imperium is basically a dystopian police state in 40k which very much does suppress the truth about the Horus Heresy and Chaos etc. Ordinary people in the Imperium know basically nothing about either, even though more powerful and important people know considerably more.

@@MrSumphora It would still be boring artistically to have one of two lost Primarchs basically be another Horus when there are way more interesting things they could do with them, if they ever wished to reveal what happened. I was never arguing it wouldn't be feasible lore wise. I feel your comment is definitely more directed at the other guy...

I like the idea that one of the Lost Primarchs died before the Emperor found them, and so the Legion that was meant for them was just absorbed into some other Legion and everyone was mindwiped to maintain morale and due to the shame of one of the Emperor’s sons fully dying

i always subscribed to the theory that the two primarchs were participating in the Ragdan Xenocides and were just like "this isn't right" and the emperor new they were persuasive enough to be a problem so had to get rid of them and hide the reason lest the truth about xenos NOT all being hideous human eating monstrosities get out

  • @iamcatlegend

My theory is that one of them landed on a world with Chaos stuff going on and was, to some extent, corrupted by it even before the Emperor found him, while the other ended up on a planet with frequent friendly contact with some kind of xenos and therefore didn't subscribe to human supremacy (which could dove-tail nicely with your theory).

Eh, that doesn't really make sense. What little we know about the Rangdan Cerabvores/Osseivores is that they were a very dangerous expansionist threat, and that they were connected with the Slaugth (a species of 'maggot men') who consider human brains a delicacy. It would make much more sense if they opposed any of the xenocides against actual innocent species and polities, like the xenos-friendly Interex and Diasporex, or xenos species like the Adarnians (who were initially allowed to be an Imperial protectorate because they were so non-threatening, but who were then rapidly driven to extinction when it was discovered they were a good ingredient for rejuvenat treatments).

I reckon one of them got eaten by the Rangda (the forgotten), and they were supposed to hush it up because that would shatter the illusion of the primarch's infallibility and undermine the Emperor's grand plan, but one of them wouldn't shut up and Leman Russ ate him (the purged).

He also wasn't THAT much more powerful than other men look alpharius the physically weakest and smallest primarch he was still over nine feet tall and stronger than any space marine. All GW did was say what disregard a verry disproveible theory
