I loved Hanayama's udon! Don't miss the 2 hours line 😂

Went to Hanayama Udon in Dec 2023. So worth it! Love the place and got 3 boxes of Udon as christmas present before leaving. Definitely going back again when i go back to Japan!

Hi TJ great video. I love Udon noodles and everything looked so good well expcept maybe the spicy on lol. I have not been able to find Udon noodles here in the Philippines but when I still lived in Canada there was an Asian grocery store that always had frozen ones. I always love your reactions when trying foods. Keep smiling and stay safe

We went to Shin Udon the first time we were in Japan. SO GOOD. But the versions you and your friends had looked better than what we had. We went more simple. Straight up thought that was whipped cream on the udon at that third location though..😂 It looked so good once you mixed it. 🤤 Is it the DJI Pocket 3 you're using now?

Heheh yes it is!! It is soooo compact and it was my first time filming with it on a trip. I like how portable it is but I would say the quality suffers a little compared to bringing along my big dslrs!!

@@CupofTJ We've been using the DJI2, but want to upgrade for the dual mics! The whole discreet factor is by far the best part. We're still awkward AF when we film, so it makes things so much easier..😂

I got the Carbonara Udon with Bacon Tempura at Udon Shin too! Back in 2019 when I went it was a special and wasn’t a mainstay on the menu yet! I loved it and it was so memorable. I think at the time the wait wasn’t so crazy, I waited around 30-45 mins tops. I’ve recommended the spot to Tokyo visitors ever since.

Whether you are in the front of the line at the end of the line, you wait about the same time the trick is have a really healthy breakfast and then go there around two or 3 o’clock then the line will be much less on a weekday I don’t know when this started, let customer wait 2-3 hours for “good food” in Asia, it is just not respectful for time.

I would never EVER wait for any line to eat. That's such a herd mentality, like the blind leading the blind. Its an udon for crying out loud. Who cares. Most of these became popular because of social marketing propaganda not because it's really that good. So I always AVOID lines. My time is precious.
