I will reiterate this once again. Because of the 2 compounded negative factors....1. Realities of stubborn poverty (that won't take less than 5yrs and RADICAL PRO-POOR REFORMS to make a meaningful dent to). 2. Crumbling economy (that won't take less than 10yrs to turn it around, given the current domestic policy polarities and class contradictions, and volatile geopolitical cross-roads), the poor are going to suffer more. Hence A. The GNU players are going to be lumped into a bunch of "failures" by rank-and-file majority on the streets. B. The populists and demagogues like Zuma and Malema are going to be labelled as the "heroes" of the downtrodden and left-behind poor. By 2029 we are going straight to populist government, with neoliberals breathing in the ICU. The ANC will be down to the doldrums (being labelled as SELLOUTS, with the poor continuing suffering, that is going to stick) and DA's neo-liberal path will be grossly unpopular amongst the poor. Failure to tie the MKP and EFF into the REAL GNU (not this DANC pretence) was a real miscalculation in this "arithmetic game".
