Tokyo's Hidden Gem “The Breakfast Lab” Japan's Best Breakfast Buffet Experience!

It seems the buffet time limits in Japan keeps getting shorter and shorter. During my stay in Tokyo, a few people suggested an unique breakfast experience called The Ginza Breakfast Lab. And the time limit? 50 minutes! Is this some sort of experimental breakfast service with experimental dishes? I intended to find out.
An early rise at 6:00am in the morning, I intended to make my 7:00am reservation. And I guess as the old saying goes, "the early bird gets the worm". It turned out to be an amazing experience with a buffet of endless little traditional Japanese breakfast dishes that you can try till our heart's content. Along with the traditional Japanese fare of chawanmushi, oysters, salman, etc, they mix it up with modern fusion dishes... Lobster Bisque Croquette anyone? How about a comforting potatoes dauphinoise?
Care and attention is paid to all the dishes and the quality ingredients and meats are evident especially with their made to order shabu-shabu that you can indulge over and over again. If you're in the Tokyo area and looking of a great unique experience, I would highly recommend.

Tim, congratulations on 100k subs!! You DESERVE it!! I`ve been watching your videos for a while now and with the love and respect you give to the staff and cheese you deserve 100k more!! But a 50 min. time limit?!? 23 years in Tokyo and I have never heard such a limit (90 minimum!!) Now it`s a new level. Enhance your production where you see need fit, but please, don`t sell out to gimmicks, trends, and being a slave to the algorithm. Keep up the good - being yourself - work - cause that`s why we subscribed!! PS...I`m finally going back to Canada after four long years to see my mom (I miss her so much!!) and my brother bought me a ticket to visit him and his family in Victoria....any recommendations for a "thank-you dinner"?

Greetings from vancouver! Yes, I would highly recommend calling to make a reservation as everything is tightly scheduled in Japan 🙂

@@TimLeeLetsGo It's so 3 dimensional there, restaurants stacked on tap of restaurants starting in the basement, and 4+ restaurants sharing one floor with no partitions or boundaries between them. Very fluid experience

I was recently in Osaka stayed at our favorite hotel SpaWorld and went to nearby Saizeriya for 2 we ate every day average bills ¥2200 pizza, escargot, burgers, desserts with unlimited drinks, coffee bar 😊 same you paid 1 plus I had glass of wine and we had no time limit 😁 For those who think Japan is expensive 😂 I say no 💴 SpaWorld was ¥27,400 (twin) for 2 nights including buffet breakfast, late checkout 5pm.

I know! It’s very hard to book in Japanese! So what I did was, I have a credit card with a concierge service that helps you make reservations. I asked them to do it on my behalf and also asked if it was OK share the experience on video. The good folks on American Express handled everything and really grateful for that. I’ve also had luck asking the hotel concierge to make the reservations for me.

I wonder if they will actually kick you out if you stay a few minutes past the time limit. It’s Japan, they’re usually too polite about things like that.

May I ask, why do they impose a time limit? Food should be eaten slowly and enjoyed...imposing a time limit will ruin that.
