tokyo | japanese snacks, cozy roadtrip, cherry blossoms never end 🚌🌸🤍

This one’s a short but cozy one!
Thank you for watching my last Tokyo, Japan vlog! It seems a lot of you really enjoyed my little shopping trip in Shibuya and celebrated my wins at the Sylvanian Families pop up 🩵 This video is a condensed one because the day was mostly spent traveling (and sleeping) in JR buses. But I guess in this video, we’re eating our way through the journey with onigiri (rice balls), sake flavored Kit-Kat, Famichiki sandos, and Strong Zero!
For the day’s main highlight, we are headed off to Takayama, but first- a quick stopover at Matsumoto Castle! This castle is more than 500 years old and has so much history around it! I can’t believe something so ancient can look so clean and new - but that’s Japan, they always preserve art, history, and the things that matter to them, which I really admire. But something I didn’t admire… the steepest stairs I ever climbed on at the castle. Oh did I mention it was 6 floors high?
Our day trip ends with us heading back to the bus terminal to collect our belongings and finally arriving at Takayama. Even though we arrived late at night, I felt immediately that Takayama was a different vibe from Shibuya for sure! Takayama is more laidback, and my first thought was that it was even quieter than Shibuya! We’ll explore the historic town in upcoming vlogs :-) Hope you enjoy this one! 🤍
