I disagree with Grumm in that he never did anything. I rewatched S.P.D. and he did a lot not only did he have the invasions of crugers home, but multiple times in that show he had victories without it being the monster. While the rangers would fight the monster, Grumm would be stealing equipment and resources from the city and was able to use it against. Not many villains can say they have victories but Grumm does so personally I would put him in A

Agreed, people shit on grumm, but he was probably the most successful villian in power rangers. Even if he lost battles, his objectives were met. He even turned broodwings betrayal as an advantage, using his efforts against the rangers as a distraction. He maybe bland at times, but he gets stuff done. Plus his past with Cruger added a nice bit of depth to the show.

Biggest issue with this list is the SPD villains. Grumm has his backstory with Cruger and honestly was out in the battlefield more than Lothor and Mezagog tbh. And Broodwing was also a very interesting villain and I think his relationship with Grumm made him a stronger villain imo to Agent Abrella, which was pretty much missing throughout Dekaranger until the very end. Another thing, while I do think Sledge is good and memorable, he’s not that good to put in S. After season 1, he got watered down heavily and became a joke in both Ninja Steel and Beast Morphers. As for the Absolute Trash category, I think I really need a rewatch of Ninja Storm but from what I do remember, I don’t think Lothor is that bad, especially compared to most Neo Saban villains. Most of the overdrive villains, I do agree with. While I do like that we had a multiple villain faction for Overdrive, as villains/characters, there weren’t that memorable. And the samurai villains, I don’t think are absolute trash because the truth is, they are pretty much copy and paste from the Shinkenger villains and the Shinkenger villains weren’t absolute trash. The only thing that Shinkenger got over them is that samurai has bad voice acting for the villains but does that really make them absolute trash? Bad voice acting doesn’t really change the writing in the villains as characters imo.

Lotar is deliberately a joke of a villain. He exists for other Power Ranger villains to mock, because Ninja Storm was an explicitly comedic show that had to exist in the same universe as far more threatening villains like Mezagog and Ransik (and Venjix and Drakkon, to bring up the multiverse). Comedy Sentai have the privilege of existing in their own comedy themed universe, so the story is allowed to treat their absurd villains as the greatest threat in existence. Ninja Storm couldn't really do that. Thus, this is how they compensated for that. Still, as the saying goes, "Deliberate shitposting is still shitposting!" So while the deliberately bad nature of Lotar makes him SOOO much more tolerable than the trash Neo-Saban gave us, he's still bad within the context of this tier list.

Solid list. The only one I disagree with is Lothar. He wasn't the best, but I wouldn't say he was as bad as Overdrive's or most of the Neo Saban villians. The absolute 4th wall breaks too were gold from the villain side of things in Ninja Storm.

Mesogog is a lot more of a creepy super-powered monster who wanted to change the world entirely instead of rule it and had some minor connection with one of the Rangers. Grumm was a classic space emperor with some disturbing elements like his skeletal design that had a massive connection to Kruger.

Solid list you guys and Great video. Wild Force and Beast Morphers villains were epic

Jarrod and JF villains should be A or S Tier at least I'd switch The Orgs and Mutants (I don't know if this unpopular but; Zen Aku > Master Org) Sledge's Crew in B (Yeah they're fun to watch but lack substance) Lothar's Gang should at least be D I'd switch Divatox's gang and the Samurai villains, Serrator, Deker and Deku actually have character development. Overall pretty good list.

Master org is one of the darkest and most psychotic villain pr has ever seen, killing his own partner, laughing at the same and casually killing 20 zords and a god like megazord is the one of the best achievement in pr history

Can you do Tokutier lists of Power Rangers Morphers and Super Sentai Changers?

Imo Lothor wasn't that bad a villain cause I mean if you had assurance in the form of a prophecy that no matter what you done or the rangers done you were going to open the abyss of evil wouldn't you take the absolute piss and toy with everyone with your space ninja powers

15:24 I'll give you that. For Blaze and Roxy in seasons 2 I like that they used that aspect of Go-Busters with Enter but yeah it got repetitive. But ad villians overall their about average.

Overall, a solid list. By far Divatox was the most difficult to rank. She was annoying as anything (I strongly preferred the actress on the starting part of the show vs the second)...but she was one of the few that actually won. I'd put Ransik in the S tier. I wasn't a fan of the Wild Force Team Up either but that one episode shouldn't affect the story and impact he made. Excellent points on Jarrod.

Actually there are several elements that go into being a great villain and she ended up nailing the most important one - defeating the rangers

Sledge:S teir Me:I see you have culture

Two years late, but the only other thing I would change is Megaforce and put them at D. Vrak was the saving grace among the villains of the first half of Megaforce. And compared to the rest of the show, he was fairly decent enough to bump them up to D tier.

Not bad overall. Divatox lower (I can get that the actress gave it her all, but she was still a poorly written character). I'm not even a fan of Lothor, but I feel he deserves higher than Trash (C/D). Grumm should be up at least to C.

Still think if you throw Frax into the mix Time Force should be S tier 🤔

Venjix was great he won

I made a tier list for all the Sentai Changers; including form changers; if you wanna do it but I warn that it has every changer and I mean it when I say EVERY single one (100+ changers)

Aside from Grumm and Ransik, this is pretty spot on

Am I the only one that is put off by crossover episodes? I never consider them canon even when they look cool, they feel messy. Dino Thunder characters on SPD make no sense to me even with the excuse they gave. Lost Galaxy rangers on Lightspeed Rescue makes no sense. Lightspeed Rescue on Time Force makes sense but them being equal makes no sense. Lightspeed should be completely overwhelmed by the tech of future rangers. Time Force rangers on Wild Force is just nonsense, the only good thing was seeing Alex morphing with the team, it felt different from Wes doing it. The best crossover by far was In Space and Lost Galaxy since it is the same territory. Villain crossovers make a lot more sense since In Space builds up the variety of villains in the universe. It would be great to see Ransik and Nadeera return though, maybe Ransik being the only one who met X villain in the past and knows how to help the rangers. I doubt Ransik would be the only villain who tries to flee to the past.

Do tier list for main antagonists, but that I mean the main big bads of Super Sentai, Power Rangers, & Kamen Rider. It would definitely make up the absolute trash that was the Kamen Rider villain tier as the guy who made it couldn't get better pictures, so none of you knew what you were looking at! (Seriously guy who made the Kamen Rider tier list, screw you!)

The villains in light speed rescue didnt match up well with the series.

You can tell when the order that "this is the last season" dropped, because the show improved IMMENSELY after it did. But yeah for episodes 3 to 10 or so, she devoured entire sets.
