Togo and Seppala in Nome, Alaska before the Serum Run.

While some have guessed this video to be from 1920- 5 years before the race for life- another segment of this video refers to Seppala as the 2 time winner of the All Alaska Sweepstakes Race. Since Seppala won the race three times, I believe this was before his third win, making Togo about 4 years old and at his prime.
Help us honor the Centennial of our Seppala breed by partnering with us to mush a team back to Nome in 2025. We look forward to hearing from you.

Greetings from Skjervøy, the place where Seppala and his family lived (before Nome - his parents are buried here). Just wanted to tell you that in feb 2024 we are erecting a statue of Seppala and Togo here close to where the Seppalas had their house - his father was a blacksmith. By the way, enjoyed the video. Thanks.
