One doesn’t class “opportunities” as being handed things. Comes down to a difference in definition. These reality show stars get a bad rap but they’re often quite aware of how they are perceived and know they have to play into it for a while. There will be people who hear how she sounds and assume she’s some posh twit and won’t look any closer. If she tried to steer to far the other direction it would come off as her faking it

I think "date" is used as in "the date we are on" in the title, not as in "the guy I'm meeting"

Well what if I were to tell you the vast majority of people who "work hard" don't achieve success despite their best effort, and for the ones that do it's needlessly hard when it is actually a very easy, accomplishable goal to make it so everyone has equal opportunity no matter their background, without having to spend their entire life doing pretty much nothing but work, and then to be lucky from all the people that did that. "Working hard" is not a legitimate argument to make, as it requires so many things out of your control to go right as well, when really it could be much easier and simpler for everyone

She clearly thinks very highly of herself, so she's quickly shifting through the compatibility of the two, he fudged the date by allowing her to dictate his morals, he would have stood more of a chance by standing firm and saying, "babe, the bottom line is, I'm having a salad", taking the steak was the weak move and she could smell it, he failed the test and from there she was just doubling down, if it wasn't politics, she would have just thrown other differences into the barrel to see how he handled them.

It’s an accurate portrayal of what it’s like to date though. It most likely helps people gain a point of view of politics and dating, particularly when some haven’t prioritised it yet. Personally I don’t believe a person will ever find ‘the one’ until they are looking for a. Someone in a similar range of Iq to them and b. on similar pages in politics. Definitely will argue too much otherwise :)
