Toe-Up/ No-Sew-Toe and foot
Bring your EG manual over to watch and read as you learn how to set up and do a Toe-Up/ No-Sew-Toe that easily reaches the other side to hang, how to crank around after the Hang and then crank a foot the exact size you need.

Love your videos and your blog. Only wish all CSM instructional videos say up front the cylinder and ribber size, as well as the yarn in use. It does make a difference in the outcome. Thanks
You are my hero! You have no idea!
Lovely video. Nice clear pics of exactly what is going on. Have tried toe-up before, but it was too much of a stretch to hang the cast-on row. Now I see what to do. Thank you. Sharon (in way northern New York State)
Wonderful video, really helpful, thank you.
I attended a Christmas Sampler today and there was a lady there who had one of these sock machines. I had never seen one of these marvelous sock machines before. I was so impressed, I just couldn't stop asking so many questions about it. This is right up my ally so to speak. I tried to learn how to knit years ago and never got the hang of it, so I gave it up. I know how to crochet and it was extremely difficult to learn this, because I'm left handed. All of the crochet books are written for right handed people. No one could teach me, I just purchased a simple crochet stitch booklet and taught myself. I tried to crochet socks and was very successful, but there are to many pieces of yarn that overlap each other to make a comfortable feeling sock. When I walked on the floor with my crocheted socks on, it felt like I was walking on tiny pebbles, everywhere the stitches met together! Horrible, horrible torture walking on these socks! I was so disappointed, because I had plans on making all of my family members socks and slippers for Christmas. Where can I purchase one of these sock machines? A used one is ok with me, I don't need the best most expensive sock machine to start out on.

hi, just to let you know, there is a guy named Mikey on youtube, left-handed, does all sorts of crochet videos for lefties: kzread.info/dash/bejne/e3WlzrWQZK6WZqg.html, Also, all of these videos can be made for lefties, by using a program called "Movavi Video Editor" You just input the video and reverse the video, so you will now see it as if the person is left handed. That's how I learned how to knit.
Great video! I need a row counter and saw the one you have on amazon. Can you please share how you set yours up? Thanks!
Hermoso esa máquina No conocía
Wow, where do buy your yarn?
where can i purchase the cotton wool yarn this video is using?
The black ball you use as weight how heavy is it?
I am curious about the row counter. I have an antique machine and would like to have a counter. Is this something added to the machine or came with the machine/ If added, could you tell me about it, where to get one. Thanks, Angela. Learning my machine. East Coast of Canada.
Do you have or can suggest one with a toe up and hung hem with voice pls?
Is there a new Manual with the EG or are you referring to the old manual on Pat Fly's website?
That was easy!
That appears to be a Jaime on that there machine. Guess I have to give this toe up thing a go.

Est-ce possible d’avoir une traduction en français
I wish the words were more clear and in focus...great video otherwise. thank you for your educational videos for all CSM owners.
very clever :-)
A great video tutorial. I need to make some soft weights so that I can have a go at toe up socks. Have you a link to making instructions? I've ordered 5Kg of lead shot from ebay so just need some idea of weights (though I notice the one in the video is 3.5lbs) and the best way to contain the lead. Martyn.

Fill an old sock or bag with Rice upto the weight you need then close the end by knotting it or sewing it shut

Im sorry, but I don't know how any of you are following this. She already has the toe in place and then proceeds to jump all over the place, artfully pointing and doing things without explanation. Whoa. No thanks.

It’s clear to me. Buuut, I’ve been making cuff down socks. I just need to know how to make the toe, I know how to do the rest. The other videos she’s got will show you how to make the rest of the sock. Great video
