even concentrating the bio-actives of cannabis into a highly concentrated oil will not have any type effects such as heroin... mostly cannabinoid receptors are not in the area where breathing is controlled so cannabis does not effect breathing in that way... cannabis actually is a bronchodialater! comparing LD50 rating says it all

Being a dad and knowing I’d do anything to protect my kid makes this way more sad, cause some people actually frown upon this and it’s undeniable proof that this is effective for ample medical situations.

He probably isn't getting high off the stuff because the dose of THC is so low, combined with a high dose of CBD (and presumably other cannabinoids) which effectively blocks most of the THC from the cannabinoid receptors. According to the label, there's only 15mg of THC per gram of tincture, and each gram probably contains anywhere from 25-40 drops, depending on how much alcohol is used in the tincture. He receives daily does of CBD-oil, and only occasionally receives a single drop of the low-dose THC oil, so it's very unlikely he feels any significant psychoactive effects, although a dose of just 2.5mg of THC is enough to stimulate appetite and suppress nausea in an adult.

@@nickcarson6627 if the THC isn't decarboxilated it doesn't convert from THCa to THC so it is completely non psychoactive no matter how much you take, tetra-hydrocarbolacetal only becomes the psychoactive tetrahydracannabinol when treated with heat

I work with special needs kids like this boy. We had a young man with severe pain from his body being contracted. He was getting Loratab (an opiate) and it didn't work. His mom started him on liquid THC and he was a different kid. Much happier and content, not painful. Personally why would we care if these kids are high if they aren't in pain? Or having uncontrolled seizures?

I decided when Covid-19 hit, and with all of the media hyping the event coupled by the riots, i thought NOW might be a good time to learn hydroponics.....i can grow ANYTHING, From lettuce to peas, and other viney veggies as well as cannabis , which if and when the all-mighty dollar FAILS, I just may have something worth its weight in GOLD, to trade and barter with, in times of NEED......I spent 18hrs a day, since March, learning how to propagate, clone, veg and bloom cannabis, I had just mastered the craft as a true ARTISAN able to grow the ABSOLUTE Dankest and most potent flower I have ever had the privilege to taste.....I had absolutely phenomenal phenos of a clone-only Headband strain and my prized Cherry Cookies and Cherry Cookie Silver, that I bred myself.....I had one ready to harvest and one 3 wks from harvest and all others were clones in veg with some new clones and new seedlings of Gelato, and King of Hearts.....i was literally getting ready to sort the males and get my next 2 stongest winners for my next bloom phase.........I only had a 3x3 tent for veg and a 4x4 tent for bloom....4 plants maximum, was the most I could grow at any one time.....and they mask up and smash my door in an steal all my plants, all my lights, all my fans and filters and bust all my rigs and bongs in my yard into tiny glass peices for my kidz to walk on.....all becuz I smoke pot....NEED pot...and it is what keeps me SANE .... now im facing a 15-30yr sentence, all because i wanted so badly to save a life like it saved mine...... I was born with epilepsy and cerebral palsy. I have a twin brother, i was born first. My brother was born with no problems. I take phenytoin for my epilepsy, as a child I was on phenabarbatone, then at 14 i was put on Epilim 500mg. Which caused me to gain lots of weight. Ratio is 30:1.5 in favor of CBD too, limited psychoactivity and extensive therapeutic effects. Even the THC concentrate he takes likely isn't a high enough dose to make him "high" (there's some disagreement on when that actually takes place... i.e. are you high from one puff of a vaporizer? or are you high after the bowl is finished? after TWO bowls are finished??)

I’ve been on the oil for few weeks now best meds I’ve been ever had for my epilepsy is the only thing that has stopped my daily seizures no other meds have. I haven’t had seizure since using the CBD oil so my tongue is in one piece from not biting it during seizures am now able to eat a lot more, sleeping more and feeling great the oil I also get from my big joints helps a lot too but don’t have the long lasting effect for my seizures like this oil. So happy for this boy to have his oil helping with his epilepsy is amazing to see

All seizure stopping medications are controlled substances, so they all technically get them high. I'd say sedated, but I'm pretty sure diazepam or such, has a much stronger effect on the system.

Benzodiazepines are far worse then cannabis

there is a huge difference between medical marijuana and regular pot. when given the choice between smoking marijuana and taking a marijuana pill. 9 times out of 10 the person will choose smoking it even if the effects aren't as long lasting or effective when treating their condition. So you have to ask the question: Do you want marijuana for a medical reason or do you just want to get high. medical marijuana is high in CBD and low in THC while normal marijuana bought at a store or from your buddy is usually high in THC and low in CBD. Telling people to legalize marijuana for medical reasons while wanting it legalized just so you can get high isn't right.

I think both is ok, but I see your point. What is high? It’s feeling good. What is medical high? It’s making your life better, by being a better person. People get high as a tool to help them achieve insight into how to do that so that they may have plenty of sober time to do that without cannabis. But unfortunately it’s abused. We cannot control that. It should be encouraged to get high as an ADDITION and not a SUBSTITUTE to better-ing your life. In short, it’s fine to get high if you do it responsibly and for a reason. There’s nothing wrong with it.

I guess the reporter didn’t know that pills get you high also.

+Cam The Loser that's what I'm trying to say marijuana is not a bad thing it kept my grandmother alive for five years and she didn't have to take Vicodin Percocet OxyContin Morphine none of that so called medicine that helps people with pain but marijuana is supposedly a bad thing no it's not but u say it's bad but there have never and will never be an overdose from weed but every four to five minutes someone is overdosing and dying from those pain killers. And Marijuana is a very good medicine which also kept my aunt alive she had seizures from 8 years old all the way until she was 44 years old they prescribed her cannabis oil and all of that stopped no more seizures headaches nothing and she's alive so I don't see why you say Marijuana aka Weed is a bad thing it's not.
