This is Episode13 of Season 4 (1984/1985), episode number 77/120 for the program, entitled "Treasure Hunts"
This program was intended to be supportive and educational for young children, preschoolers (age 2/3) through young elementary school age (8/9). It can be enjoyed by anyone. This is the original and unedited program, as it appeared. Features of this program include puppetry, live action hosts, interactive games, songs, and the discussion of feelings and learning how to deal with them.
Summary: Jodie is setting up a treasure-hunt display in the children's department. At the same time, a magical pirate arrives in the store and it is discovered that an old map of Sam's shows where the pirates treasure is at. While the gang goes on a hunt in the park, Jeff completes his own search in the store. Everyone's a winner. The importance of compass and map reading, preparedness and planning, and fairness are explored.
