Ah this is a good blaster I would love to have one

Use grapeseed oil. It has a smoke or fire temp of over 550F and canola oil smoke point is 425F or 450F.

I have an 06 blaster and love it

I used to own a blaster with Paul turner exhaust and some other mods but that air cooled engine just couldn't take very much punishment. I personally am not a big fan of them but there still cool to remember.

Oh man I had the same one, even put the FMF stickers in the same 3 locations!!!!I now have a Banshee, but wish I had a blaster still, I will find one..

Agree, Leak/pressure test is critical on these blasters.

canola oil can go rancid if left long enough, this means it will smell bad and will eventually start promoting rust instead of protecting against it. however, I still think it's better than wd-40 because it's not really an issue if you spread it thin enough, it doesn't have a bunch of nasty smelly chemicals off-gassing from it at all times and especially not when it gets hot. a lower cooking temp allows it to reach smoke point and harden and blacken easier (which I assume is part of the intended effect) this creates a durable rust preventing barrier. however, oils with a lower smoke point may be less stable. overall, no problem with canola oil

I’ve always liked the blaster due to cost/simplicity but it always seemed too short for me. 5’11”. 145 Lbs. Ended up buying a Banshee. 😎

Someone knew it was blown up gave it away

I loved my old blaster but it had proving and was bored out so it wasn’t to unknown for it to blow up because I would push that thing

Should use some of that liquimolly canola

This was my first quad in 02 when I was in 7 grade

I’m not a big fan of quads but that thing is nice

We've always used tranny fluid. It bakes in and won't rust

You should cover the exhaust with a latter glove or a plastic bag to avoid water going inside

If you had a t6 toomy like me no oil needed on the pipe

your well system has a suction leak hence the air coming out the garden hose it's probably at the check valve of the pump someone didn't put enough Teflon tape does it lose Prime if you don't use it for a while?
