today i made paper 🧻

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Today I made paper!
(To skip intro go to 1:57)
I've been wanting to try this for so long (i love textured, fibrous paper) and today I finally got around to trying it, and LOVE IT. The hardest part was honestly probably just getting the supplies together and making the Mold + Deckle. Once set up, the process was super easy and fun, and it felt like being a little kid again, playing, and pretending to make witches potions. I'll definitely be experimenting more now that I have all the supplies 😊

Hannah, press some flowers, then once they are dried when you start another paper project making paper put the pressed flowers on the wet paper once you have squeezed out the excess water out. Also I found it easier to get the paper off the screen , use a small rolling pin on the paper while it's on the screen it takes the water out faster too. And it drops off the screen. Hope these tips help! Lavender, rose pedals make a colorful paper!

Oh my this video took me back to when I homeschooled my son. He was about 5 or 6 years old at the time and we made paper as one of his lessons, recycling. It was fun. BTW my son will soon be 35 with a family of his own, so it's been a few years ago. Your paper turned out well, I was amazed with the back of the paper with impressions on them, how did you do that? I have an idea for you. Instead of putting flowers and leaves in the water, dry out your flowers and leaves. I always bundle the flowers in a bunch and on the cut end place a rubberband around it and hang it on a nail. Leave it hanging until they dry. Then place the flowers on your paper with a dot of glue, place in a frame and make a bow out of jute or bakers twine and wahala you have a homemade gift. Homemade gifts are the best. I'm new to your videos and really enjoy them. Your cabin and property is a long time dream of mine. I love it. If I lived closer I could teach you how to weave baskets out of vines. The first time I saw this was a teacher showing kids about recycling. My take on it was a bit more perverse. I used the junk mail.😂 Loved getting the brightly colored ones because I used them to color the paper. I made them into note cards with pressed dried flowers on them and matching envelopes. Every so often you can find cards like that with wildflower seeds impregnated in the paper. You just put it in the garden, cover it with soil and water!👍 Fun stuff!💜

mostly true, at least for vegans who aren't overly aggressive or extreme. just wanted to point out though, that free range isn't a big step up from caged/cage-free, unless you've seen that those chickens were in good conditions, or personally know the farmer haha. or, maybe you could have your own chickens ;)

Blacksimms I know what you mean that’s why I said we don’t mind (I guess it sounds wrong now) and I agree it’s toxic when vegans tell others what to eat but most of the time they really don’t mean it-they see it as educating others. But yeah everyone is free to do what they want

  • @lalanaturale

Cocoa Powdered milk oh they mean it it’s a superiority thing. Most of these vegans on KZread follow extreme diets and aren’t even properly keeping up there health are telling people who eat meat they aren’t healthy. The comments I’ve seen on here to people who aren’t vegan anymore are disgusting. You can’t educate someone when you don’t have the knowledge to properly maintain your own health. I’d rather live like my ancestors did and eat meat than be in a toxic community like that.

Very nice try Hannah! You nailed it! I use to make paper many years ago for my etching and lithography prints. I made paper from cotton, bambo, rice, coffee beans, the medium is enless. The starch agent is just a 2+ table spoon per gallon of water just to help tie and solidify the fibers together. I heard some paper masters in Ancient China use carbon ash. Salute!

I made my first single 6x4 sheet of paper today from an old bill that came in the mail. I saw a video on how to tear the paper, then put the shreds in a 20oz soda or 16.9oz water bottle and let it soak in warm water for a few minutes. Then I shook the bottle for around 5 minutes. That was long enough to prepare the pulp. I poured into my frame very similar to your process and let it dry. It came out really well!! The lesson I watched explained how shaking the bottle vigorously is enough to break down the paper. Yes, it worked!! It's slightly thick, but it's great! I've learned so many skills during the pandemic. Thank you for your video, Hannah! Your video environment is so relaxing. You're very pretty :-) - Shannon in north Texas

This is super fun! I've done this with news paper, old school work, junk mail, circular ads, dryer lint and boiled down wood pulp. We were making "papyrus" and learning to write hieroglyphs. But there is a Japanese paper making video that you might like and I believe they use rice or rice starch? Anyways, it will show you how to make the paper and be able to pull it directly from the screen without it breaking. We are doing this to make toilet paper. 🤣 it's just something to try and have fun with because it never hurts to have essential pioneer skills. Great fun video! Thank you! Much love from Southeast Texas ❤

I did a sweet mothers day gift with my preschool class. We made recycled paper out of our construction paper scraps but we also added wildflower seeds. The children then cut the dry paper into flower shapes. In the card we added a note instructing mom to plant the flowers in the garden and watch my love grow. Could also be a cute idea as a wedding/baby shower invitation or gift tag.
