I know what it's like to lose a 21 year old son. My 21 year old son who loved Jesus, took his own life in September 2020. This caused my family and I severe pain. My heart is broken. My two older sons are blaming me and won't talk to me. I feel like I lost 3 sons. Praying that God will restore and heal all the relationships in my family. We played Tobymac's song 21 years at my son's celebration of life.

My family shifted in relationship after my parents lost their youngest, at age 25. (I hate to even say "my youngest Little-Big brother") The police said it was the same way as you lost your son. That doesn't feel right to me...it doesn't add up. That alone and not being sure where my brother is creates a terrible pain. I have to continue to turn to Jesus with it or it would consume me. Let God be all you need...even families split over this...I could say more about what happened to us but I don't want to. Just know that you can continue to process and feel this with Jesus, every single day, and pray for softened hearts, own up and apologize for anything He May reveal to you and beyond that, it's out of your hands. You need to find the path with Christ to healing with or without anyone else. It may cause a ripple affect in time or things may just be this compound loss we both understand. Practice letting what is not yours to change, go. I have borrowed AA's "one day at a time" (one moment at a time some days) a whole lot. Keep the faith and KEEP your gaze straight on JESUS.

It’s not easy, in fact it can be painful and feelings of shame and guilt can surface as well as denial, but there is also a feeling of relief and release in a good way. God’s got you in His arms and His heart grieves with you.

I'm so sorry I know how it feels to be lonely without the person you love, we've all lost our love ones in death one way or the other, either a spouse, child, family members, or a true friend that meant the world to us, such is life I understand how you feel but life goes on because death is inevitable and we'll all have to face it someday, I lost my son jersey on may 24th 2020 during lockdown on a car accident he just turned 22 on his birthday, got hit by a drunk truck driver, that was the worst and most lamentable day of my life as a single Dad raising two kid's, my 13yr old daughter is my everything and the reason I keep strong, my late wife passed away 3yrs ago to a cardiovascular disease, I felt deeply devastated with grief, but that's the past now, time is indeed the best healer. I'd love to talk to you more if you don't mind! it'd be nice if you just say hi, here is my cell number +17866676668 or rather you can send me your gmail address so I could reach out on you.

"Now more than ever." I totally understand those words. I was on the ledge when my son passed. Everything that I ever believed was on the line. I had to REALLY believe. I had to know where my boy was. I had to REALLY know. It wasn't just words. Losing a child will push your faith in one direction or another. If you make the right choice it will push your faith to a whole new level. Toby's words will help a lot of people that have lost children. He knows their pain. It's a club that no one wants to be a part of, but we truly understand the grief like no one else can. To anyone that has "lost" a child, you will get through this. You will.

Like TobyMac, I search for hope in the Bible each morning. I come away from my reading thanking God that He never leaves me and walks with me through every single moment of my sorrow. @Brittany I'm so sorry for your sister, I've worked with a lot of people through grief support groups and have seen this impact. I don't know if your sister would be willing to reach out, but I highly recommend having her call the National Share Pregnancy and Infant Loss support network, or look them up and maybe find a local Share chapter near her. It is never too late to find support and healing, I promise!! And the National Share office usually has amazing people to talk to, everyone there has experienced loss themselves. Back in 1996 when I lost my first son, Alex, the national Share director spent a couple hours on the phone with me late into the night to walk me through everything, they are amazing!!! I will pray for your sister that she has just enough strength and courage to reach out to them and get the support she deserves!! Much love and prayers!! 💜✝️💜

This really does matter. I was in the worst bottom of despair earlier this week contemplating not great things. It was this very song Toby that had me crying at the feet of God when I heard it as I pulled up to a gas station. Remembering that I can trust Him, and He will stand by His promises, and He is sending me help. All of the things I knew but the devil had beaten me down and robbed me. Well I am not in that place anymore emotionally I reached out to family and a friend who are going to help me out physically too. So keep doing what you are doing writing the songs and playing them on the radio!!

These three songs are getting me through the days and couple months after losing my husband and being hospitalized and termed a long hauler with Covid. I had not listened to any of TobyMac's songs before coming home and starting over. Now, I have something to look forward to each day and to give me a center of calm and strength to start the day.

I also wake each and every morning with the thought of my deceased son, James Joseph....forever 26. Two years ago life changed forever when I got the call my son was killed in a car accident. I though I was strong in the Lord and ever since, I've made the choice to press into the Lord on deeper levels. He is faithful to carry us in our pain. Yes, His plan is higher. I saw Toby’s wife, Truett and all the rest of their family , Truett had on one of shirts Daddy’s T-shirt’s and was having such a good time running around being a child and singing his daddy’s songs. The day I heard abt Truett my heart broke for this family. Toby’s wife especially, she has such grace and love for the Jesus her husband serves and sings to all of us, while she is home doing like any regular mother would do raising her children.I pray for this precious family each day.
