Right before 11:50 when he says “Just because you miss your guitar solo” I immediately knew who he was talking about. Their lead guitarist missed the cue for his guitar solo during Faith because the drummer was off and had a visible tantrum over it, middle finger and gloomy behaviour. I think Per’s a perfectionist too and it bothered him to slip up or “fail”.

Great interview. Not surprisingly, TF articulates very well what makes Ghost's music so addictive to me: it's everything that was great about those 80's bands but without the formulaic, sound-alike songwriting and with much broader, more insightful lyric content, and also much more poetic lyric content. It's interesting to me that imagery, metaphor and simile are so natural to TF that he just casually uses them in conversation! (Songwriting as detective work, pulling a string from the ground, music/drumming as culinary...) And I really had to just LMAO at "Drummer, shut up!" Finally, speaking as a trained singer, TF really does a lot of things right as a vocalist and has a really fabulous vocal instrument. For vocal longevity, I'd love for him to get just a little more training about the actual anatomy and function of his voice. He's so wicked smart, it would save him some of that trial and error repetition in the studio.

Great interview! So many great insights by Tobias, and Jon asked great questions and just let Tobias elaborate. I thought it was interesting in particular, where he mentioned the Appetite For Destruction drum kit setup simplicity on the first album being a parameter/ rule/ goal. If legend is true, G n' R took away Steven Adler's double kick pedal and made him use a single kick. 😁 Also really interesting is how Ghost works as a band, and getting the ideas out to the band, and then them forgetting some ideas/ riffs. I don't read music, and Tobias likely does not either, so it is always a manual way of getting out melodies and riffs/ accents until muscle memory takes over and you've practiced it a whole bunch of times. Sometimes wrong/ bad notes actually sound good when they weren't intended to, so I would be interested to know how many of those things stay in the final versions of the songs.

Love he is wearing a old school "Jump in the Fire" t shirt. Before first major label contract artwork for metallica.
0:59 - Oh, man! Tobias' shirt rocks. That awesome design was used by Metallica for a picture disk ep shaped like that demon. I was lucky enough to buy one back in 1984; still have it....somewhere :)
Brother Tobias, intelligent, humble, honest, creative, focused, devoted husband, and father, etc. Respect.
My absolute hero… 🙏🏼
So interesting to hear about his writing process!
Legend!
“big bands performing at 30%, not naming any names” it’s okay, we all know it’s motley crue

You must have noticed his on stage character has been getting younger too... He is a genius and clearly a very healthy man, he's 41 or 42 and he looks less than 25

I'm sure he hasn't had work done, but might be wearing a lot of foundation! Either way I'm jealous of his youthful looks
Ghost is s fckn great!!! I love so much!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Please play in Virginia, Norfolk or Virginia Beach. You have many fans here. ❤
Entire Interview: _very imformative_ Me, with Ehlers-Danlos: "Holy shit! You can order a _kid's temp???_ "
😍😍😍😍
He's rocking a Metallica t shirt again 🔥🔥🔥
Atomic Swing isn't far off from modern Ghost. Their main man is working now as songwriter for hire within the current music scene. They were extremely catchy and melodic, like a rock ABBA.
he looks like a 14 years old😭❤️

LOL - I remember having a guitar player keep playing when we were trying to figure something out in practice and then finally having to tell him to shut up and then repeat the whole process again of telling him to shut up at the next practice. lol - There's one in every band.
ahh, I wanted to see it translated, I don't have these options-
I’m so sad. DAMN Hurricane… missed my ritual in Jax
HE LOOKS SO YOUNG WYF

Hi, they're enabled but it says it may take some time for KZread to generate and show them. Maybe check again in a few hours, hopefully it will work then!

hi! did you manage to get them on?
I think he did the Loudwire interview right after this one. It’s like night and day between the two. Tobias was still as charming as can be, but the interview was all over the place, and you could tell he wasn’t as into it.
Tobias and I are the same person. I take my coffee the same way. I burn way too easy
