Tobias music is what it is, music. Not some show off exercise from some bearded dinosaurs. Tobias is neither a singer nor a guitar player, he's a musician. And most important, he's not Tarja Turtle from Imightwish acting as if she's Dave Mustard from Megadeaf. He just the typical Lemmy Killmemister from General Motörheads

As a hardcore fan, I can attest that "unmasking" the band doesn't take away from the magic one iota. I love that each individual band member is recognized for their onstage badassery and contribution to the live show, but watching them perform, I still see "Swiss Knife Ghoul", "Alpha/Dewdrop", "Cirrus", etc. Hell, I've seen countless interviews with Tobias, I KNOW he's the genius behind the band, I KNOW he is Papa C - yet I STILL have a hard time imagining Tobias behind the mask. To me, Papa is a fully real person, as are the ghouls. And I have no problem living with this delicious cognitive dissonance! 😍🖤

As someone who just recently got into the band ( hard), I did not remove that the identities of the ghouls and ghoulettes were out there until tik tok showed them. But when I watch them live on KZread ( i don't have the money to see them live). All I think is that there is no way thay these people are the band and there is no way tobias is papa. Even though we all know he is and the band are who they are. They will always be two separate people in the same person. ( sorry for ranting a little bit )

Tobias is a very strategic and clever character. He takes his job seriously and works like a CEO. Haters are not able to recognize that: Yes Ghost is not heavy but has strong metal roots. it represents Metal music well. Because metal is not only about sound. It is about attitude, including images, lyrics, and musical phrases. As a musicology master's degree student I can tell that Ghost fits in the metal genre well... Sorry haters

I feel like Tobias is the fans musician. A brilliant composer.

I love how Graham lets Tobias finish what he is going to say before moving on to the next question. I wish more interviewers were like that. I think it's a really good thing that there was a official reveal of the ghouls, unmasked, they are incredible musicians and entertainers. I don't think it takes away from the band at all to reveal these things.

I always appreciate Tobias' interviews. He is thoughtful about each answer.

I love the theatrics more than anything…. How Tobias interacts with fans at shows while he’s on stage is the best!!

I know Ghost aren't everyone's cup of tea, but goddamn it I admire Tobias' tenacity and vision for the band. Seeing how they started out and how far they've come since is pretty fucking awesome. It's no doubt the product of hard work, determination, and the drive for the band to reach new levels.

Loved seeing them grow over the years. Probably one of the only bands I’ve seen from small theater, to medium venue, to arena

I have seen them 4 times since 2016 (last week on Resurection Fest in Spain) and the experience has always been incredible. Is it the same? Of course not. The songs are completely different, but as addicting as ever. I personally listen to all sorts of musical genres, so as long as it's great music, I'm in!

I heard that "one" song and became a super fan. I can't get enough of these guys.

I find that very admirable that he’s aspiring to make Ghost a large stadium band like Rammstein. Stadium bands are dying out, and we need more of them.

In all fairness, it took Rammstein 27 years to be able to do more and more. And as Richard kruspe has said in interviews it’s like a heavy bag they carry. They always need to do more and more. They can’t go back. Plus they are the most successful band worldwide, and a lot of Rammstein’s income comes from having very unique, creative items they sell in their shop. Seeing them is worth every penny. I very much love ghost, Tobias is incredibly talented. I just don’t see them reaching anywhere close to Rammstein, but more so ghost in their own ways I believe doesn’t need to. I would love if ghost ever performed with Rammstein as an opening act. Both bands are special in their own way. 😊

@@serenity55033 absolutely. It takes decades to reach super star status. And I’ve never heard that interview. I’m sure it is a burden. I went to 2 of their shows in America and I saw the insane amount of work that goes into setting up for their shows. They’re more than musicians. They’re showmen and entertainers. They’re also businessmen like you said because of their shop. Genius individuals and incredibly gifted, no doubt.

The mind of this man is amazing, now that the band is having huge recognition, can’t wait to see what’s ahead for them. Impera is literally a masterpiece!

The worst thing for the Ghost fan majority would be for Ghost to swell up into a production like Rammstein. That would mean way fewer shows, much more travel for fans to see a show, and much more expense for fans. So really, thousands of real fans are likely left out of the live experience when it gets that big. Also, as cool as a big show can be, there are a lot of shitty seats at those gigantic events which is also a downer. I've been listening to Ghost from the beginning, and I saw them in tiny venues early on - the best way to see a great band in my opinion. I like a more intimate experience. I'm more likely to buy a ticket for $80 to a venue that's an hour away than I am to pay $300, travel 600 miles, and watch from 800 feet away.

Amazingly talented and sweet dude. Im going to miss Copia in a way i cant even put into words...but whatever we get next, i know it'll be amazing :)

Tobias is one of a kind and a breath of fresh Devilish air music and especially in Rock/Metal. 🤘🔥 Congratulations Mr. Forge!

I absolutely believe that Ghost can go anywhere this man's fertile imagination wants to take it and I'm pretty anxious to see just where that is. So very proud of Ghost and Tobias! 🤘❤️ I miss the chances to catch them at a smaller venue, but the current ritual experiences are some of the best shows I've been to

i love hearing Tobias talk, he's so intelligent and genuine. id love to sit down and talk to him about music, serial killers and books.

Talented, hard working man right there. I kinda fell out of the Ghost wagon a few years back but I still have nothing but massive respect for Tobias and I wish them all the success in the world.

Great interview. His outing had this silver lining. We’re now given the chance to hear everything has to say. He’s smart and incredibly talented (as are his band) so it’s always fascinating and something of a learning experience. I personally, can quite often just hang onto his every word.

I’ve seen two Ghost performances live over this year, and they put on a fantastic show every time

So much respect to Brother Tobias, his music, and to all the nameless Ghouls.

Proud to be from the same, relatively small, town as Forge and Ghost!

I love listening to interviews with Tobias. I am beyond impressed with how sophisticated his songwriting is and how far flung his musical ideas are so I'm always interested when he gives us any hint of what he's thinking about for the future. As for some of the griping about him not being metal enough, whatever. I can't imagine why anyone would want to stick him in some tiny little genre-box but, fortunately, he's 'way too smart for that.

So proud of this guy. He's really nice and very smart. WHat a great song writer. Had the pleasure of speaking to him , briefly in 2017. Really humble human being.

He is absolutely amazing, first of all he knows not to be ashamed of being “just” a fan of bands, and thats why he knows how to please fans!

just went to my first ghost show last week. it was amazing in an arena, I would be so excited to see them in an outdoor venue

It's nice to know the story of the photo that was shared on social media including everyone, as a fan you can see things happening, people reacting some exited and some of them not so happy. I agree in the point where it was not completely secret and that doesn't change the show at all. I like the point of view of the Broadway production with the information. You can continue enjoying it despite that. But well, I'd love to see the band expanding and exploring fields we've never seen them on. Also, if there's the possibility of incorporating death metal elements i think Tobias is the right person to do it, but the possibility of that is not probable. . .

Thanks again for amazing interview. Graham always shows admiration and interest and his chats with Tobias have always been very interesting. Tobias, what a creative genius of a man.

Let Rammstein be Rammstein, and Ghost be Ghost. Respect for both.

Tobias is so interesting, so smart and gorgeous. Love to watch his interviews, especially when the interviewer is well informed and knows what he's talking about, and lets TF finish his answers. Forge's always giving his best onstage, and I really appreciate that he takes care of every little detail of the show. Although it must be exhausting being "a control freak", like he calls himself. He really deserves all the good things because he works his a.s.s off for it.

The pushback against what certain individuals perceived as heavy-handed domination has consistently provided a provocative source of inspiration for many European heavy metal and rock bands. In 2023, Ghost stands as a contemporary embodiment of this legacy.

Rammstein sold out 3 nights in Mexico, they could do 4 easy. They are one of the biggest bands around.

All these comments from metal heads with superiority complex, yall listen to metal bands with niche fan bases claiming they’re better then everyone else. Take a step back and realize Tobias is keeping the rock/metal scene alive and in a fresh and organic way, you may not like his music but from a songwriter point of view, this guy writes insane hooks/chorus & melodies and doing so reaching a larger audience. Yes metal music is great but being a new metal band you don’t stand a chance in growing. The only metal bands people pay to see nowadays is the classics for nostalgia. You gotta think of this from a business standpoint as well.

Deathcore and metalcore exists homie. New bands form there a lot, and yes ghost brings a lot of new fans to the genre but they’re not keeping the genre alive. Most ghosts fans wouldn’t enjoy the heavier sides of the genre, that are currently thriving.

I don't know what it is about Ghost, I've loved every album and even the songs I may not love at first grew on me and I ended up loving them. Tobias is so creative and talented.

Tobias is a musical genius, the only way I can describe him.

I saw Ghost in 2019 in Hershey Pennsylvania. I think of that show a lot.

Tobias is the most awkward yet humble and respectful interviewee ever.

10 years ago when nobody knew who they were except for a few of us you could tell that getting an award like artist of the year or something like that was going to happen sooner or later.

As a huge death metal head, I always wished Ghost made a super heavy album. Their look is so good and I loved their earlier work. Not too crazy about the new album.

Great interview again with these two.....i always preferred Mary on a cross as a song,Go goat is fun live but mary feels more ghost like to me!!!..... it's great that Tobias champions my fave one!....as for the Rammstien aspirations, i love Rammstien but im not sure about Ghost going down that path....i have visions of year zero!!!.... KABOOM!!!the whole stadium sets ablaze!!😁......i love that he is so driven and inspired still,.

I have been to Rammstein and it's the best concert I've ever seen and probably the coolest you CAN see. But I am looking forward to ghost one day soon.

Tobias and Mikael Aekerfelt are my two favorite "metal" composers. You can add many of Alex Webster and Pat 'O Brien (from Cannibal Corpse) compositions in there as well. Music that is fun, emotional, unique, reactionary, brilliant. I am now a Ghost fan for LIFE ETERNAL. 👻

As a metal (JP's) fan I can honestly say I really do enjoy listening to Ghost. Its unusual, creative and fresh. In our metal genre there are very few bands who can achieve that (one band that is on my mijd is Beast in Black for that matter).

I would love it if the reached the same level as Rammstein, Rammstein is my favorite band and ghost is still kind of new to me but I'm really loving the music they put out. It's so original and like a breath of fresh air from all of the commercialized rock. Would have been great to see them open for Rammstein during the stadium tour in 2022.
