when you fly all the way from sweden to LA to accept an award and all you're allowed to do is to get disrespected by not getting televised, get mixed up with other bands and get called Mr. Ghost at the red carpet. But on a positive note this seems like the only kind of chance he got to give an acceptance speech and show his gratitude and damn he did that well (as always when it comes to us fans). We're very proud of you Tobias and you more than deserved this award and I would happily sacrifice my fingers all over again for you and the band!

He’s absolutely adorable 😄 But it gets a bit weird and so so so different from Papa/Copia. It’s awesome how he creates characters. I met him in 2014 when I was having a beer and he came to have lunch. It was at a type of...amusement park that has a stage where they have concerts. This was before he officially came out as Papa so he walked around there having lunch unmasked and no one came up to him. Well at that time of day there wasn’t super many Ghost fans in the park yet, it was mostly just families enjoying the park. I was dressed up in nun clothing with a Papa II face paint. But yeah I recognized him and he knew that I knew he was Papa so he didn’t deny even though he wasn’t out yet. But I unfortunately didn’t get to take a picture since he was still private. But I did get a Papa II autograph! Also he said “You look so pretty!” I asked if he could look at me extra much during the concert later and he said he’ll do that. And he totally did. So much eye contact. He was super nice to talk to and we stood there talking for several minutes before he got his food.

@@MoaMorgenstern That's funny you say that. Ghost was my daughter's first concert with me when she was 6. She was blown away. We saw them again when she was about 8 or 9 and at the end of the show people just got up from the seating and ran down to the front. During the encore he saw my daughter right next to the stage and he pointed right at her and waved at her. She was absolutely over the moon about that. She still talks about it. We've seen them a total of 4 times, once just a few months ago. That type of simple connection makes lifelong fans.

There is something liberating being behind a mask if you're somewhat shy and introverted, I have to imagine. Even if it physically isn't all that comfortable to wear. It's like you're not quite yourself when you're behind the mask, and therefore you aren't judged and scrutinized the same way.

It's sad that rock isn't even big enough these days to get stage time. I don't even watch the awards shows. I'm a rock person and like Country too, but I don't like hip hop, rap, pop, or any of that. However, I still respect their talent and I always used to enjoy watched the awards shows and the variety of artists and genres. Not anymore! The majority of these artists can be played on the same radio station.

I don't even listen to the radio anymore unless it's the rock station and I've only heard Ghost on there twice. My spotify wrapped at least recognized them as my number 1 artist that I've listened to so there's that at least.
