Its like a different world Philip but we loved it
It's good to see "the otherside". Expect "City dwellers" would find the rural cut to quiet. Fingers crossed for Thames
Hi to Gary and Nicky and Lily and Noah and all the dogs am glad that you are all having a great time on your travels so just take care and be safe have a lovely time love from Jackie and Woof Woof from Lucy ❤️ oh yes and Lee 🐶🐾🐕😎👍🙏❤️

Great video Gary. I'm from London and it's interesting to see the city from the canals.
One or two bloggers have done London and it's lovely to see it from everyone's point of view and seeing London from Thames itself. My nan and grandad grew up in Limehouse and Bethnal Green before the war. Enjoy your trip and hope the kids enjoy it too xx Look forward to next video❤

Thank you Sandra
Here's hoping that old "Morning Star" finds owners who can start their own narrowboat adventures on board. Sad to see it happen but I suppose that it is ultimately inevitable that (well unless you go out in a Viking funeral...and the neighbors might object) the day arrives when you have to bid farewell to the cut. Some by choice but more by the simple passage of years. Enjoy it while you can.
good vid on new travel looks a nice place to go keep up the good vid thanks lee
Super duper trip vlog thanks so much for your time and efforts to produce the vlog. New waters new adventures fantastic for all. Safe journey travels.
Brilliant video Gary & Nicky 😊 interesting to see all the different buildings and the canal into London. Like you two, I much prefer the countryside, but it’s great to see the city and Chugs moored up in the basin. Really looking forward to see the next two vlogs 😊 Stay safe, enjoy your next adventure and once again, thanks for sharing 😊

It's great that Noah and Lily get to see such diverse parts of the country. It is a great part of their education. Does it feel much more stressful to you to maneuver through such busy waters? Leigh
@GaryCaptainPhillips

Hi Leigh... not stressful to manoeuvre the boat but being and keeping the family safe is my biggest worry
Hi guys, loved this, in fact love anything to do with London 😁 only way I get to see it these days. From the water. Enjoy. ❤😊
Such a lovely portrait of you & Nicky at the end of video. The recent series of vlogs have been quite nice. Well done, and thanks!

Hi Garry it's called , Senior Citizen Cain , made in 1984 the bridge I think you passed under where Lionel Jeffries rides a motorbike over with a young lady on the back or was it a stunt man ?
What a great experience for the children, I remember when I was their age in the 1950's , I visited London, it wthe as like a different world then, but none of the steel and glass high rise buildings. wishing you an enjoyable, safe journey on your travels alont the Thames. Are you planning to go to Lechlade to complete navigable section of the Thames?
@GaryCaptainPhillips

So pleased you enjoyed it Kenn and yes we are planning to go to Lechlade
Hi guys Glad you enjoyed your day out with the young ones in London Unfortunately being a Londoner you could not pay me to go back there as it is one of the top places for ripping people off of their hard earned cash Sorry to be so negative but that my personal opinion You all take care and stay safe and well 👍👍🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶

Lol I won't rush back either as I'm no lover of cities but wow what an amazing place
I'm afraid to say that I thought of Jed Clampet from the Beverly Hillbillies 😅 when you were going through to Paddington Basin.

Haha I think I felt like him too !
Did you have to pre-book the Paddington Basin mooring? It all seems a little quieter than two years ago when we last cruised through London - virtually no free moorings anywhere then, had to book in at the Canal Museum in Battlebridge Basin!
@GaryCaptainPhillips
Ай бұрын
All of our central mooring were pre booked at £25-£35 each night
GG says woof to Noah, Lily ad the six puppies
its getting exciting - like you, not my type of scene - but exciting for a change
Interesting about the oxygen programme to clean the water also I have never seen the toilet boat is this the boat that comes to do pump outs ? Or is it like the elsan points for the cassettes?
@GaryCaptainPhillips
Ай бұрын
It did both elsan and pump outs and it looked awful if I'm honest
Didn’t Paddington get bombed heavily in the war? I agree, it’s a real concrete jungle! Thanks for the cruise.
