I love how this episode had some original commercials included! 😊
FAMILY NEVER TALKED ABOUT. UNCLE DAVID MOORE BEING ON TELL THE TRUTH R I P UNCLE
I love when some of the old commercials are left in.❤
I would have been funny if, when Kitty asked, "Who was Jimmy Carter?" the guy had answered, "A future President of the United States." LOL

I thought of that too😅
Sadly, Davey Moore died as a result of injuries sustained in a boxing match with Sugar Ramos on 3/21/1963; he died on March 25. The bout was televised and shocked many viewers.

Bob Dylan wrote a song about it, "Who Killed Davy Moore?" It's on one of the bootleg series.

It's very cool to watch this show retrospectively and find out what became of the person later in life. Tragic story about this poor man.

There's another Davey Moore who was a champion in the 1980s who got run over by his own car. This Davey Moore died from injuries sustained in his bout with Sugar Ramos, as listed. @rose3260
"Colored boy" ugh the Fifties
Well, I gotta say, for the first time in a LONG time, I actually liked all THREE games
Very interesting to hear Carson's take on circus people. Also, that's quite a vest he's wearing, and I'm not usually one to pay much attention to attire.
Loved the TV commercials.
It is great seeing Betty and Johnny on the panel. Rebecca, the animal trainer was a babe.
I disagree about the word colored… that was the polite term. Black was considered insulting.

True but “boy” was always insulting and Ralph knew what he was saying.
Showing the three women descending the stairs was edited out of the broadcast for some reason. Lady #2 looked a bit like actress Marie Windsor. Lady #3 was a teacher and would have appreciated that amount of money. Teachers were paid peanuts in the 1960s. These latest batch of episodes have been great due to the absence of Don Ameche and his "prosecuting attorney" demeanor.
Interesting seeing the ads :)
I have a feeling the animal trainer in round two must have got plenty of wolf whistles during her act! First contestant looked like she would be scared of flies, while the third one scared me! The results were surprising!
Interesting, we got to see one of their ads! I admit I like the old old ads.

It was a wow for me
OMG , is Kitty wearing a helmet !!!!????
I firmly believe in not punishing the past for the changes in norms of the present, but ow Ralph Bellamy using the C-word stung. I know he didn't mean anything by it. It was the term used back then, and it's not really a bad word today but it is uncomfortable. I still remember Polly Bergen joking "segregated" many episodes ago but in reference between Irish Pubs and British Pubs.

No- he meant it- did you see how he refused to clap #3- he is a total jerk
First he asks the black guy who the colored guy was, then when asked to repeat the question he said colored boy, then in the parking lot he got his ass kicked.
You dont teach any animal thru fear. Discipline but not fear. One dsy they may turn on you. Being the dominant one in the relationship is not the same as fear.
After Bellamy referred to another black man as “boy” the Champ looked like he was thinking, no matter how hard he worked, that’s how many white peoples would still see him as a boy. Then it dawned on him & he rose up like I am a man and can kick everyone’s ass!😅

The circus lady was cute as a button. Her and Johnny would have made a cute couple.
I didn't get the Kitty "sendoff"... did she stay away for long?

I absolutely love Kitty Carlyle! Not only was she the original member of the show going into the 70s but if I’m not mistaken I think she outlived most of them as well very classy lady. That is very sad that her husband died so young.
"Colored boy" I was born in 1953 ane, even at age eight I knew that would have been an horrible thing to say because of the family that taught me. Those who think that was "normal" at that time are wrong. There were racists and nonracists, just like now.

Ralph was from a very different era, even for that time. It made me cringe. I have not heard any other panellists on these shows say that. They mostly are respectful.
To all the people upset with the word colored it was the term used at that time also remenber the terms negro black african american and person of color have been used also and of course more offensive terms
Ralph colored boy, c’om please!

OMG. Animal trainer lady should be ashamed of herself! First She has a gun with her in the ring and doesn't reward the animals! She punishes them! Grrrrrrr
@HannibalFan52
2 жыл бұрын
The real animal trainer, #1, was never asked how she trained her animals. it was the two imposters who answered that question, and they don't have to tell the truth. Therefore, you can't be sure that they were giving the correct information. The gun is for protection, in case the animals get out of hand. Even the best trained wild animals are still *wild*, not domesticated like dogs and horses. So actually, the gun is rarely used except in an emergency. I agree wholeheartedly that animal abuse should NEVER happen, but any animal trainer worth his salt knows that a reward system works better than fear. That has been known for thousands of years. The Ancient Greek general Xenophon wrote a treatise on training horses using gentleness and rewards; his work is the foundation for the training of the Lippizaner statllions of the Spanish Riding School in Vienna.
