I kind of thought the checkered player was number one from the beginning because it looked like he was a little hurt by the audience laughing at his name. With the name like Marion and being a boy you know he's been made fun of his entire life. People are just so mean.

I believe Polly left the show because of a throat problem. She did have throat surgery and had a long recovery. You can hear the way she is talking in this show.

James Herriot, a British doctor and author, wrote a book with the same title, "All Creatures Great and Small" that is very well-known. I know a title cannot be copyrighted, but it's interesting that another animal specilist, Dan Mannix, wrote a book with thte same title. That said, I could not fine a book with that title published by Dan Mannix. He has published a number of titles, all of them having something to do with animals, but there is no evidence he published a book titled "All Creatures Great and Small." James Herriot's "All Creatures Great and Small" (incorporating If Only They Could Talk and It Shouldn't Happen to a Vet) was first published in 1972.

Having that poor passenger as a guest so soon after that harrowing experience seemed a bit tacky.

My personal opinion, Tom Poston appears to be a very intelligent person. That said, sometimes he seems to go out of his way to make sure people know that. That really bothers me.
