The economy is grappling with uncertainties, global fluctuations, and pandemic aftermath, causing instability. Rising inflation, sluggish growth, and trade disruptions need urgent attention from all sectors to restore stability and stimulate growth.

Things are strange right now. The dollar is becoming less valuable because of inflation, but it's getting stronger compared to other currencies and things like gold and property. People are turning to the dollar because they think it's safer. I'm worried about my retirement savings of about $420,000 losing value because of high inflation. Where else can we keep our money?

It's often true that people underestimate the importance of financial advisors until they feel the negative effects of emotional decision-making. I remember a few summers ago, after a tough divorce, when I needed a boost for my struggling business. I researched and found a licensed advisor who diligently helped grow my reserves despite inflation. Consequently, my reserves increased from $275k to around $750k.

Why does the government have to spend so much money to sell vacant surplus land ? 100 million dollars just to get rid of it ! You would think they would make money by selling land ! This government never ceases to surprise me.

Money means everything to those with little of it but means nothing to those with an excess of it…. and a lack of understanding of how this whole crazy new-age idea of this “money thing” works. It must be when you put the squeeze on something, and ‘money’ oozes out.

I vote NDP and I believe there needs to be a serious, national discussion about balancing budgets. This means serious discussions about taxation. Affordability and climate change, some appreciation for questions around immigration: these are the issues. My favorite NDP leader was Mulcair. He also believed in balancing budgets. Lol, look where that got him, and us. Capital gains taxes needed to be lowered, not raised. We need more ordinary Canadians to be able to buy raw land. Or would you prefer the People's Republic of China to do this for us? I don't see any way to avoid raising taxes through increasing the GST to, let's say, a nice round 10%. Similar to Europe, use value-added taxes for revenue, not primarily income taxes or capital gains taxes. We can have both: incentives for growth and building, and more revenues for affordability and the future. Just as we can combine socialism and capitalism. Others do this, we have done this, it is proven. P.S.: I love investing in the markets, love contributing to building businesses. We can have both, be both.

Reality is that only party in modern history that has proven to be capable of being responsible is the conservatives. Harper shrank the size of government from over 20% of the economy to less than 15%. Trudeau has it back to about 20% of GDP...NDP have only ever proven themselves to be economically illiterate spenders.
