It breaks my heart to see so many people homeless

I can relate. They tried to seperate my teen daughter and I. We ended up taking a small studio up a bunch of stairs because no disabled accessible housing is available. We are in a very dangerous neighborhood.

God bless this woman. Hope she finds a place for her family.

Federal government has given money to CA to fix it but nothing has been done.

The money just magically disappears after the nonprofit's get it.

I just saw the updated story on the news. She, her son, and her moms are safe, in low income housing. Someone saw this story and helped them out.

Exactly. It's a thriving money laundering business.

L.A had millions to create housing for the homeless. The majority went to creating just the blueprints. There was not enough to start on any actual construction.

Instead of spitting all this millions of dollars on meaningless short-term solutions they could be building lots and lots of housing with it. Not buying old property but building new property. Corporations investing existing property are consuming property rather than building property which is a true investment and not a confiscation with really cheap money and huge profits for investors beyond your understanding.

Cali waste so much money in stupid things. Help this people

Wait a minute. If she work 60 hours a week@just minimum wage that's $900 a week X 4.3 equals $3870 a month. Something's wrong with this picture. You can't get free housing with that kind of income. She could afford apartment

Rent prices are so high, even with that income she can't afford it. Calculate: rent for a 3 room apartment, buy food, gas, energy, for 3people, afford clothes, car repairs, health insurance, medication etc. AND pay tax. Who knows if she also needs tooay back depths? She might be able to afford a converted van, or a tiny home. But for 3people?

One of the problems is that many of them come from other states. California weather it’s nicer than where they’re from.

I mean, this news video specifically talked about a woman who works 60 hours a week and still can't afford rent, and current programs want to separate her family for her to get any help, but sure bring up the drug addicts I guess, is like you are purposely ignoring important info here.

She has a job, she might even be able to pay rent ...and then what about food and all other expenses? I paid rent for an empty room when I lived in San Diego, ate at work and biked everywhere. Cali isn't worth it. Glad I left.
