"Currently Available" - "Out of Stock" 😆

He was so distracted by set up, he did not see it was out of stock😮
There is a background noise that sounds a bit like a flowing river, or a maxed out AC. The echo disappeared at some point, early on.
Apothebakery is really something I’d like to back, but with the base price, the shipping prices and VAT on top, it’s just so hard to justify…
@mistletoemonkey
15 күн бұрын
Wow, yeah. Even without VAT there's just no way to justify $63 +25 shipping. The only KSE's are four cards? Definitely seems like something I can get for $40 down the road, or less
@ScytheNoire

Seems like they might be shipping their games to the UK, and then shipping them out from there, rather than shipping directly to distributors in individual countries.
@Arkardu

@@ScytheNoire That seems like a pretty bas way to do and it sure would explain the high shipping cost
The back or not to back question is getting harder to gauge. I'm personally finding it harder and harder to sell my used games for a reasonable price. I'm also seeing other people's games that would normally sell quick sitting on the market longer.

I think there is some general fatigue with purchasing. Combination of shelves of shame getting embarrassingly large and being able to find so many games for cheap at retail. It's pretty rare for a game to be a huge hit and not hit retail in some fashion.
🎉🎉🎉 congrats on the new studio!
Set looking good!
congratulations on your new space!
Room is a bit “echoey” as Alex mentioned but I am liking the new set. Although it is a bit colder than the old school couch video he used to do. The couch videos seemed like a fire side chart and were warm and inviting.
We cannot wait for Isfet!!
I think 7th continent isn’t doing as well as it’s only just arrived. They should have give us a minute to play it and see if we like it.
@JJ_TheGreat

I assume you mean 7th Citadel. 7th Continent was the earlier game which has been around for awhile.
Mythic battles ifset and 7th citadel for me 👌🏻
Shame that the price for a agemonia base game is still very expensive for us potential EU backers 109€+34€+21%= 173€ for the base game 😞 retail it currently sells for around 180€
If anyone doesn’t have agemonia. I highly recommend it. They put a lot of work into the game and the backstory. And the game play is a nice mix of exploration with story mixed into the missions which is really fun. And decent to good combat. But the exploration and quests and story is where this game shines.

Sadly I’m tapped right now since I already just backed Rove and Cysmic, and waiting on several other projects to be delivered. I’ll have to wait for Agemonia in secondary market or retail (if that ever happens), otherwise I would have def backed it for the reasons you outlined. It does look pretty awesome and my kinda game

Looks Great, I would back if it had tiles, My game group doesn't like playing on a book and sadly the game would just sit on the shelf because of that reason.
Nice room!
Looking good buddy! Can't wait to see how the studio will be when you finish with everything.
If you do an editting in Davinci Resolve, they have a button to isolate a voice, it makes audio less echoey in not ideal setting. Just an idea, love your content!
Aside from the wait time behind these crowdfunding games, I’d be all for backing a lot of the ones that interest me. The shipping however is the major detriment almost every time (located in Canada). You can pay anywhere from $20-50 per game, meanwhile you can buy one or more online for an average standard rate of $10-20, or meet the minimum for free shipping if you wait and buy a few. I understand the logistics, I just wish there was a better option
ayee i see deep rock
I am 50/50 on Grimcoven- i am not big fan of the miniatures/standees and how they look but i want that dragon, man! For this week, i am kinda hyped to see Dark Blood and War for Arrakis 2nd print coming in.
Who do you think is a better fit for Agemonia vs Tanares Adventures (or preference)?
Will there be an 8th Citadel?

Its probably going to be 7th Universe as we move to space next.
24:56 I don't think I have gotten The Paradox Initiative yet.
7th citadel is a great game for accountants. I have an accounting degree so we enjoy sorting cards.
@JJ_TheGreat
15 күн бұрын
Ok, I have an accounting degree, too... But I don't understand what that has to do with showing cards. Accounting is about the principles of when to recognize revenue - when to match the expense with when the revenue is being recognized, etc... so I don't quite follow.
Awakened realms are master at kickstarter farming and fiddly unfinished games
(Un)Luckilly nothing for me again, also no current premieres :) It is a good time to buy missed titles.
Wow. The audio is verydifferent
Any idea on a release date for Grimcoven? 2025/2026?
36:30 I believe you said "apothecary" four times. That is not the name of the game. :) It's another campaign where it looks like they are shipping to the UK and then shipping from there, rather than use local distribution in various countries, because those shipping prices are horrible. Alley Cat games does the same thing, which is why while Ada's Dream looks interesting, as did Autobahn, the shipping prices are way out of range. Don't seem to be learning how to do distribution properly.
Lots of enticing campagins at the moment. I'd guess that may be impacting the backing level of a lot of these? The level of disposable income available for most backers is dropping, and the cost of games keeps trending upwards. There's 4/5 campagins that I'd probably have backed a few years ago. At most now I'll pick one to back (probably isfet or 7th citadel expansion). Edit: forgot to say really useful video as always - appreciate your time going through these.

Big Issue right now for me is a lot of these just delivered their product. Like I just got 7th citadel 2 weeks ago, and I haven't been able to even play it, so why would I get new content for it. Same with Isfet, people just got Ragnorock not too long ago.
@benh4390
14 күн бұрын
@CheddahSlammer yeah very true - I'm lucky enough to have had both for over a month and been impressed with both, but not sure I need more content for either. With mythic and others in recent memory backing feels a lot less reliable as well.
Congratulations on getting the move - well, moving along. Much luck getting the studio all set up and working to perfection. Also, you mentioned making a video on selling our no longer needed/wanted games. I feel we could use some solid advice. And if you have some ideas about shipping, I'm sure we could use some tips for that, too. That always seems like a huge headache, and why I try to sell local. Thanks in advance. Bunny Boom looks so cool and looks to be a lite-weight and simple family style game.
Ooo, that was a painful dad joke.
Timestamps missing?
Thank you for this video! It's worth mentioning that Awaken Realms is using AI-generated images for Grimcoven, since this may be the first time some people are hearing about the game. For example the cover shown in this video and on the Gamefound page is touched-up AI output. They could potentially replace all of that with human-made art by the time it's ready to print, but since they're taking pledges now they are using stolen and laundered art for commercial purposes. For people against the use of stolen art data for profit, it's a thing to know before considering giving Awaken Realms your money.
@peterlopez5676
15 күн бұрын
i 100% agree with you but, and i can not stress this enough, i feel like that even though they use ai art, I feel like its just the art that their artist have made and just theirs. Honestly though me and my friend looked through the campaign and if you nit pick it, you notice very quickly it looks ai generated with no human touch. at the end of the day though, we can't simply say they are stealing art. It could be they are as most other models of ai have stolen art but ultimately we don't know so I wouldn't be saying that like its a fact. i won't be supporting them but I don't like the fact that we assume they stole all the art.

I’ll definitely be giving them my money and in the future if they keep making great games.
Normally, I would let it go, because, who cares, but I can't resist for the obvious joke. You called it "Bunny Bunny Boom" a couple of times, instead of just "Bunny Boom." I know rabbits multiply, but where did the extra "Bunny" come from? 😜
@JJ_TheGreat

That's the bonus joke in today's video!
Why do you think that Awaken Realms games still hold their value? It's difficult to get the money back one paid for the extremely well-rated Tainted Grail: Kings of Ruin; for Lords of Ragnarok that was even worse (especially if looking at the prices a bit later); the games (with the stretch goals) are available at the typical online retailers, so if one is not in a rush, it seems to better to wait. (And if it sells out quickly, Awaken Realms will do a reprint campaign anyway.)

I easily sold off my ISS Vanguard gameplay all in (minus the miniatures) a couple of months ago for 25% profit and it wasn't unopened. I played the core campaign 40-50 hours. The trick was to sell it in 2 part. Nowadays the people are understandably cautios and less inclined to drop big money in one go. So it's easier to sell the core pledge of an Awaken Realms pledge (which anyway tends to have the best value so for me it seems people are more inclined to pay a bit extra for it) and after that the remaining add-ons for the people who decided that the core pledge is not enough for them and want the all the gameplay.

I'm having a very hard time trying to sell Lords of Hellas. I'm at around 66% of what I paid for the game (ignoring the shipping costs), and still no takers. I've regularly listed it for 2 years. A select few AR games hold their value, but most don't. Even CMON games don't hold their value like they used to.
I think the reason 7th Citadel and Mythic Battles are not doing as well, because they just delivered their product. Like I just got 7th citadel a couple of weeks ago, I haven't had a chance to even play it, let alone go through all the content. I feel like many companies need some more restraint when they put out on crowdfunding a second edition or expansion for their content. Give the consumers some time to play the game first, were not only getting your game, and we have lives. Give us a couple of months at least to get the game to the table. Right now not backing 7th Citadel for that reason, but if it was on kick starter in 3 months I would have gotten it.
@VaultBoy13

Mythic Battles is also a property of diminishing returns. I love my copy of Pantheon with some expansions, but it's a ton of content. There was no point in me expanding it with Ragnarok. Similarly, I have no interest in expanding it with Isfet. The boxes for the game are quite large, but if each game just had one box of the best content, then I'd be interested in owning all 3. Who doesn't want to have the coolest gods and monsters from each faction throwing down with each other? But, how many people want 6-20 boxes of Mythic Battles? The production time would also be shorter, if they focused on smaller releases. Backers would get the games faster. There'd be time for hype around the received copies before launching the next pantheon.

@@VaultBoy13 Well personally backing Isfet because I actually have none of previous ones, and Egyptian Mythology is my favorite of the three. Isfit did unlock the Deluxe Storage box to fit everything and apparently Ragnorok did the same thing last campaign, only Pantheon didn't. I just saw many in the comments say that they just got Ragnarok recently and that its too soon to put out the next project.
Refuah shilemah on the cough. Thank you for covering even though you are sick. Congratulations on the move and enjoy Shavuos in your new home!
They have better games this week then last week. But a lot of them are reprints or a new theme on an old game. All these games are good. But I have most of them and don’t want any of the small additions.
Zoom the fluff out! It's too zoomed in now. We want to see more.
You funny...
