As a 24 year old that never had a dad, I would say you have to seek help from coaching as much as possible even if you have to pay for it. Jordan said his dad gave him a heads up about delayed gratification. I didn’t have someone close to me tell me that, my mentors did. Of course I learnt it the hard way but I am way far behind than other people the same age as me who had fathers/mentors at an early age.

Props to you for seeing out that mentorship bro! Most men are too prideful and/or ignorant to actively seek wisdom. In many ways, you have it better than the men who had a father who gave them BAD advice. You have a blank slate, whereas they have to unwind their conditioning just to get to where you are. Keep investing in yourself, and pass it on to the next generation 🥂

I had a similar story to you and yes I was generally a straight a student but I didn't like to actually do my homework and put it off until the third or second day it was due and then I started working and that's how I came up with my own personal Phrase "There can be no fun until all work is done"
