There is an entire album from this tour...all great songs! Some may notice Mr Derek Trucks is also on that stage in this video ❤

I noticed it too … when Derek is on backup, and brilliantly plays to the song with most listeners not even catching on

Derek Trucks is one of my favorite guitarists. Glad you mentioned him. First time I saw this, I freaked when I realized he was there. There's good reason this is my favorite version of the song
Blind Faith: Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood, Ric Grech and Ginger Baker. One of the first true supergroups. One album and done but what an album. Had To Cry Today from that album is a fav of mine.

Yes and John Barleycorn from that same time is also incredible.
Talk about a nice lineup. Winwood, Clapton, oh, and that young guitarist with the ponytail is Derek Trucks. His specialty is slide guitar and he can play pretty much any style. Winwood’s song is a Classic. And Clapton doesn’t have to play fast bc he has so much feel.
It is a Steve Winwood song. "Can't Find My Way Home" is a song written by Steve Winwood that was first released by Blind Faith in 1969.
One of the greatest songs of all time and this version with Clapton, Winwood and Derrick Trucks (on slide guitar) and all of the rest is just spectacular.
Steve Winwood is one of the greatest of all time!

Phenomenal beyond question!
A fantastic live version of this legendary song by these Hall of Fame musical geniuses!
Great song for sure. Derek Trucks sounding good on the slide guitar.
You mean Sweet Home Alabama sounds like this song, as it came out a few years later, as you acknowledge. Stevie Winwood is a complete original, having a great soulful voice as well as being more than proficient on guitar and keyboards.
One of my all-time favorite songs. Steve Winwood's contribution to the soundtrack of my life can't be understated. His solo version on his KZread page sitting fireside is amazing. He's also on Piano in that George Harrison tribute concert with Prince.
That tour was excellent the third guitarist is Doyle Bramhall the fourth is Derek Truck he is possibly the best guitarist out there now
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! Do you know how long I've been searching for a reaction video to this? THANK YOU -- One of my favorite slow versions of this classic Stevie Winwood song!!
I was at this concert and it was fantastic! Thank you for this reaction, it is definitely worthwhile to go down the Eric Clapton rabbit hole. There are so many great songs in this catalog because aside from being a solo artist, he has been a member of other bands such as Derek and the Dominoes, Cream and Blind faith. One of my favorite songs is After Midnight. Funny how you found a song that sounded similar, I am sure that many bands have been inspired from these musicians.

@@ninjavigilante5311 My bad, I thought i would just mention a few. EC's huge collection music and musicians he has collaborated with can be overwhelming. Thank you for reminding me, you are a true Eric Clapton fan for sure.
One of the coolest songs ever and this is an amazing live lineup!
An Epic classic that we know with 2 cords. Clapton, Winwood and Derek Trucks…Come On!! This was way before Sweet Home.
Thats some quality noodling. A lot of people forget that Winwood could play a mean guitar too.
Clapton has a very large catalog He was a founding member of the yardbirds then formed cream then onto blind faith and Derek and the domino's with stops in between to play with john Mahals blues breakers, delaine and bonnie, the Beatles . Before going solo and recording dozens of albums It's a deep deep rabbit hole but worth it
Tee, Do you recognize Steve Winwood who was playing the organ on “While My Guitar Gently Weeps”? He’s an under appreciated musical genius.
top shelf are you kidding me Eric Clapton slowhand, Stevie, Winwood, Spencer Davis Band, traffic, Eric Clapton, blind faith, cream, Derek and the dominoes. Can’t think of the slide guitarist name with the long ponytail. Blonde hair great physician they’re all great. What a life on.
Fabulous song! Both are so talented.
Dude Eric is THE goat. Bless your ears and your soul, and ck out his 24 Nights at The Royal Albert Hall concert. His finest imo.
TWO GOATS STILL PERFORMING!!!🎸🎸🎹🎹🎸🎸
A good jam? This was a masterclass.
This is an unguided acid trip. Trippers frequently had guides to help them "find my way home" because sometimes they couldn't find it by themselves.
Man it's so awesome seeing someone appreciate this in KZread. I love it so much, and think so highly of it, idk what to say. There's just nothing feels like Eric and Steve together. Out of my 1,000 or so songs in my phone, and tons of Clapton,.. this is in my 5 most played. Yeah. ☺ What you said in outro... this so so opposite Sweet Home Alabama I gasped when you said that. The whole vibe is different. Maybe a very few notes are similar.
The legendary Derek Trucks as well
Such an amazing song. Absolutely timeless.
This is a Steve Winwood song.

Bill Morgan - Undoubtedly! I can listen to this over and over, and always catch the same vibe: mellow sadness- those who 'know' will understand.
If i am not mistaken this show was at madison square garden in nyc and i was there...6hrs later i caught my flight to costa rica, great start to a great trip. one of the others that commented that there is an entire album of this concert
"Can't find my way (sweet) home (Alabama)". Hearing it again, the lines are quite clear. Upper registers belonging to 1980-beyond, but the low parts are sometimes touching 1920-30. Time machine.
I know EC is a top notch guitar player, but Derek Trucks is in my top two all time favorites!
These two are fantastic and legends in their own right! You may want to check out Dear Mr. Fantasy, at Claptons Crossroads Concert as well. Great Jam.
Seriously if you want your mind blown Derek Truck is in the Tedeschi Truck band with his wife Susan Tedeshi they made a track 10 years ago called “ midnight in harlem” it’s phenomenal
Awesome choice man! One of my favorite live performances of all time.

Scott Warner - Same here! No matter how many times I listen to this I still get the same vibe: Relaxed, kind of sad, exhilirated, nostalgic - all of these emotions rolled into one.
All time classic.
Seen Steve and Santana do this song live with an acoustically engineered bandshell behind them on a perfect July summer's night....was incredible.
the class level on stage is impressive
The groove is so smooth it glides like its on ice...
TNT seems pretty honest. I would want him to know this wasn't the best version of this that was cut.
Used to Winwood being on piano or keyboards!!!❤❤❤❤❤
AWSOME VERSION!!!!! JUST GOT OFF MY POTZ & PANZ, WAS ROCKIN' THIS, COCAINE, AND DEAR MR. FANTASY!!! 4 TIMES EACH......FEELZ GOOD BABY!!!!
I play this a lot at bar gigs etc…great song
Great song! I hadn't heard this version before. Very cool!
Such a song for the times
Highly recommend checking out the original of this from when Winwood and Clapton were in the group Blind Faith...
Steve is a Fn legend 🤘🤘
I actually searched for a reaction video of some Steve Winwood and Blind Faith led me here (see what I did there lol)
It's going to be good anytime you get Eric Clapton and Derek Trucks playing together.

Two elite professionals making each other better in the process of making spectacular music. But might be biased.
Ah I believe this was written before Sweet Home alabama and Steve Winwood write it on Traffics John Barlicorn album.
Blind Faith. The primary songwriter was not Clapton... but Steve Winwood so I'd say it's Winwood with Clapton rather than the other way around. Also Skynyrd sounds like Blind Faith rather than the other way around. Clapton left Blind Faith because he was so intimidated by Winwoods talent.
A gem,thanks
Sorry it was on Blind Dauth. Checkcan accoustic version Steve Winwood does solo in frontvof his fireplace.
A thousand times yes!
Steve does his song, Mr Fantasy, at this same 2007 Crossroads concert, from his group Traffic from the early 70s. I't's incredible.
PERFECTION 🖤
Loved this song and reaction
I love your comparison of this song with Lynyrd Skynyrd but i think Clapton has so much more soul
They were awesome
My favorite beverage and a few tokes and I'm good. Nice reaction.

Bobv Delp Are you related to Brad Delp, of blessed memory, who was 'the' voice of Boston?
Check out Doyle Bramhall II the dude in the white shirt playing the red guitar....really a nice player especially his live with Gary Clark really an exceptional piece of music.
Thank you for doing this song. Stop doing drugs leave your body alone.
pure class
It would be the other way around - Sweet Home would have utilized Can't Find my way home.

hey I really like your reviews...nice to have a little in depth perspective on music I'm familiar with. Would love to see n hear your thoughts on Otis Taylor...one of the greatest blues musicians of our day.
These guys were in Blind Faith together
Hot summer night Bonfire Cold one Rolled one Doesn't get any better
Let's hear it for Ginger Baker Clapton and Steve Winwood. All legends in their own right. There's definitely overtones of Eric Clapton's Layla, but..... Even now when I got up in the middle to get a drink I seamlessly drifted into Grand funks, I'm your captain. For a verse. And then back again Lol. But consider who was first.
I love this song. Black label Society does a killer cover of this song
Steve Winwood…..gotta give it up to the master!
You should check out their version of “Voodoo Chile Blues”
You should see them do "Dear Mr. Fantasy" together.
Steve's acoustic version of John Barleycorn is brutal but/and brilliant.
Some old pros right here.

Jay Jordan - Consider who the performers are.
It's one of countless songs that follow the classic D-C-G formula! I could give you a long list but Can't You See by Marshall Tucker and Country Road by James Taylor come to mind. On a different note, I know your always looking for good heavy rock so I'm gonna suggest you check out Lynch Mob! George Lynch is one of the most underrated rock guitarists of all time (You've heard him before in the band Dokken). Tangled in the Web & Wicked Sensation are two of the best! The first lacks a killer solo but features horns rarely heard on heavy rock tunes and the second song will just plain melt your face!
The best electric version of this song is Clapton and Winwood live from MSG, around 2004 it’s much more powerful then this version The best acoustic version is from Blind Faith, that was Clapton, Winwood and Ginger Baker in the early 70s
Nothing like Sweet Home Alabama
Check out Eric Clapton and Vince Gill playing together.
Eric can make this his song too. Seen both many times.... Never together. 😭🤯
I'm wondering if this is the Madison Square Garden show ? You should listen to " Double Trouble " from the Madison Square Garden show. Great performance !! Actually , the whole album from the Madison Square Garden show was great .🎸🤙
ANY OTHER SONG? Sounds like THIS!!!!!
