Sparking gibs, standing on the noggin of a Mancubus, this play through has it all!😄 The Barons be like...Hmm, what are these sticky things on the floor in front of me?...BLAM!😂 The Revenants in the pits, for some reason I was expecting them to be just skeletons when they raised up.🤦🏻♀ I'd like to see you freeze every Imp in Mount-Pain and get 1000 health, that'd be "cool". 😁 I found your explanation about the voodoo DooMguy fascinating at the start, I would like to hear more fun facts like this in future videos. 😊 An insightful and entertaining video BMD, great work as usual. 🙂💛

Thank you, Batgirl, much appreciated. I'll keep freezing little guys like this until I get to Mount Pain, and then continue freezing them. I think that'd be... cool.
In my headcanon, Doomguy being programmed by the the extra-dimensional higher being known on Earth as John Carmack inherited some of his intrinsic properties belonging to higher dimensions - like the mechanic of being able to be in one place and at the same times gather supplies via "voodoo dolls". We could use an analogy of a hand slowly submerging in the surface of water, and what the game engine perceives as distinct entities (voodoo dolls) are in fact part of the same being only outstretching the "fingers" in different places of the map - dominant one going forward, wielding and using weapons to actively fight demons, while the others may get to wiggle around in other parts (they don't have to be there all the times just like we sometimes stick only one little finger in the pond).

I LOVE THAT!!! Now THAT'S deep thinking. Well done, my friend, well done. You just made my entire week.

"Feast upon the frozen images of molten massacre as the machineries of death grind relentlessly, mindlessly on..."
The voodoo dolls remind me of mapping tricks I (and other map makers) would use. In a map I made, I had a sort of "healing station"; Pressing the switch would drop a voodoo doll onto 10 stacked medikits; This allowed it to be multiple times, until all 10 medkits were collected.
Yeah I didn't really care about this map. I am surprised that using Ice Beam on alot of enemies is always a good thing for ton of healths which is awesome. 😀 Oh yeah that full tank Flamethrower is gonna be even more fun. 😁 I always wonder where that sound of the elevator sound come from. So from the Voodoo's that gives you weapons? That is really nice. 😲 Very cool idea using Acid Grenade on all those Skele-Boys down there. Fun to see. 😄 Long video, but I like it. Great job as usual. 👍

Haha, yeah, when I found out that I could acid grenade those guys down there, I was like... hell yeah.
I remember struggling with this map, both because of the size and because of the size of the blue maze. However, I don't think this is a bad map at all. In fact, when I look at the whole, I can appreciate the robust layout and structure. The aesthetic visuals are cool too. It even reminds me of Perfect Dark's maps
Say, how well can you do Arnold Schwarzenegger voice impression? Say... "Your health. Give it to me. Nao." ...the next time you smash a popsicle. 😀

I used to be able to make a passable impression, but nowadays, being out of practice, not so well, lol. I'll try it in one of the upcoming videos though.

Ah my favourite TNT map. Mill ! lvl18 and one of favo maps in all of doom !
A lot of people hate this map but I for one love it.😊 I always enjoy this level. TNT is fraggin awesome.
Fighting fire with fire👌 flamethrower is an absolute win in PB. Nice final fight too, BMD, may not have been according to plan, but it was well handled 👍
Quad damage + dual wield quad shotgun , both on full blast against a cyberdemon.
that last section was just deadly! if you had been like under 100 heath, you would have died!
@BigMacDavis

Even on a good day that section can go terribly wrong. I'm glad I survived.
Great vid as always good sir. Loved the triple miinigun - it was the star of the show for me. As for the health bonus collecting thing - there must be some kind of a prmal instinct behind the immense joy of it. We all love collrcting stuff in real life, and this is just an extaic extension of this innately human proclivity. I think I went to 900 back when I used to play BD.

"In the works" + "In the pipeline" ~ "the pipe works?" 🤔 yes?...
Nice video, as always! This sure was an interesting level, though I'm not sure I like some of the aesthetics or gameplay design, like those wide rooms. 4:25, but if they fly and it's questionable whether or not they're arachnids, shouldn't they be called... Flytrons? Entomotrons? Ah, overthinking... 7:30, ah, the Grail-gun prevails once again! 19:46, all worship the Almighty Gold Keycard! 29:35, kinda reminds me of a somewhat electronic, lower-pitched version of a T-rex roar.

One of my favorite Dario maps
Not a favorite map of mine but the design of the column things you lowere bit by bit always fascinated me. Probably my favorite thing about tnt is the soundtrack and the many custom textures and levels (that in most cases don't take away from the classic doom style imho) and occasional interesting puzzles like this. Very creative stuff. 👍👍

In doom news, the next doom game will be called, DOOM DARK AGES. It takes place in medieval times
@BigMacDavis
Ай бұрын
I heard about that. If so, the game's premise sounds fun, almost like a Heretic style game. I'd be on board with that.
Hey hey hey to you too BMD
The Mill had no chance against you! And you got lot of health and the Flamethrower upgrade! Alright,now you are set to give those demons a major boot in the bootie! Up next is the Shipping area where we get supplies from. Huh,I'm seeing lots and lots of demonic dots popping on radar,Captain. Be careful and watch out for enemies hidding behind boxes! LT Zero,out!
@BigMacDavis

Thank you, Lt. Zero, I'll keep my eye out for any suspicious activity. Including possible skeleton boys hidden behind crates. ;)
1k health is definitely achievable though it does take a while There used to be a mini-mod/add-on i sorta updated years ago for one of the master builds that added in some varied armor and health bonuses that would give 1/2/4 respectively

If it's true, I'm totally on board with it. Would remind me a lot of Heretic.
I didn't hate it, but every time I made it to the end I was pretty done with it. The big question of this run is turning into if you can max out your health. How high can it go? A 1000 like you said?
@BigMacDavis

Yup, and according to some comments, you can go beyond 1000.

the first black hole did kill like 4 guys... So not a total waste and the 2nd one killed like 2...
Hey BMD, I'd like to know about you: with all the rumors regarding a new Doom game (probably it will be called Doom: The Dark Ages), what do you think about it? Honesty I'm keeping my expectations very low and I'm even worried about it having a medieval theme (although I do remember when I beat Doom Eternal Map 9: Taras Nabad, I remember Samuel Hayden mentioning Taras Nabad being the site of the first ever recorded demonic invasion. That much I know for sure), but heck, I'd love a new Doom game (even if it will be 9th gen only, I'd pay anything just to rip and tear until it is done)
@BigMacDavis
Ай бұрын
I'm keeping my expectations under the radar for right now, both in terms of it actually being true and releasing, and in terms of how good it will be. Until I know more about it, and see actual gameplay of it such as a trailer or developer released stuff, I'm keeping my expectations low. With that said, though, if it's medieval themed, I'm totally on board. I love games like that. To me, without any context to go by, I can imagine the Doom game playing a lot like Heretic. Which I would totally enjoy.
You can go over 1000 health in PB, I just checked it and it's possible
👍🏻
still hate mill, the navigation kills any possible joy I could have with it and there is just not enough enemies with how much real estate there is to this map to me

Okay call me slow or whatever, but I never knew voodoo dolls in this map existed. I know there’s one in Scythe in the map “Run From It” (or whatever that map is, lmao), but are the voodoo dolls in all of the maps? Why do they exist in this map?
@BigMacDavis

This is the only TNT map I know of that have voodoo dolls, and a couple maps in Plutonia also have voodoo dolls. I don't know specifically the reason for having them, but Dario Casali made this map, and he made half the maps in Plutonia as well, and he probably just wanted to experiment with them.

The Mill is a overly designed level.
Since you brought it up several times, what is your favorite Star Wars movie? Mine is and always will be Return of The Jedi (1983). I did recently watch the prequals and they certainly were over hated over the years. Phantom Menace being a prime example of over hating.
@BigMacDavis

Nothing will ever beat the all-time classic to me: A New Hope - it was the film that got me started in Star Wars, and I wore out the VHS I had back in the day, and I can still quote the whole movie from start to end. Second favorite is a mystery to a lot of people why I choose this one, but it's Attack Of The Clones. I like the detective story it has, and the arena fight with all the Jedi blew me away when I was 12 years old, lol. The prequels are way over hated, and it's nice to see a lot of fans embracing more of the prequels again, because they are by no means bad movies.

Attack of the Clones was my favorite of the prequals as well...although in Revenge of the Sith execute order 66...need I say more? Did you like the sequel trilogy? I wasn't the biggest fan of it. My brother and I refuse to accept that Disney owns Star Wars and see the Disney stuff as unnecessary stuff. Although everyone says Rouge One and Mandalorian is good

@@isabellacalavera8577 The sequels, to me, aren't as strong as the other films. Too many unanswered questions, or the ones that are answered are unsatisfactory. Even the books and comics don't fully explain everything. I think that was the problem of hiring two different directors to cover three films, you get conflicts of direction. Rogue One is for sure the best modern Star Wars film, by far. It's near perfect to me.
