Randall Franks, David Hart and Alan Autry appear on TNN's Video Morning with Al Wyntor and Katie Haas on November 22, 1991 to discuss the "In the Heat of the Night" "Christmas Time's A Comin'" CD.
Randall Franks (randallfranks.com) and his In the Heat of the Night co-star Alan Autry (autryentertainmentgroup.com) joined forces under the banner of Autry-Franks Productions in 1990 to produce the charity In the Heat of the Night CD Christmas Time's A Comin' featuring the cast of the show.
The project raised funds for drug abuse prevention charities throughout the United States.
Franks, Autry and Hart performed on "Jingle Bells" and "Christmas Time's A Comin'" on the CD. Franks and Autry were able to include many music legends, some among them, Country Music Hall of Famers Kitty Wells, Jimmy Dickens, and Pee Wee King as well as many top legends from the Bluegrass genre, from Jim and Jesse to the Lewis Family. The Christmas Time's A Comin' CD released on Sonlite and MGM/UA was one of the most popular Christmas releases of 1991 and 1992 with Southern retailers.
Autry and Franks mark the 20th Anniversary in 2012 with a charity re-release with the original companies benefiting the same charitable goal from the non-profit Share America Foundation, Inc. (www.shareamericafoundation.org)

I wish they would make new shows really love the older ones could not get enough of watching this show me and my wife still watch reruns all the time over and over again love them please make more

My 4 year old is obsessed with this show and thinks all cops are named bubba. Imagine her surprise when she realized her dads a cop and not named bubba lol.
No TV copper ever looked as good As Bubba Skinner in uniform he does fill it out sturdily.
I can never get used to hearing Alan Autry without the Southern drawl. LOL
The best police procedural of that era. Officer Goode, Sgt Parker Williams and of course the hunky Capt Bubba Skinner. Dam Randy sounds like Vince Gill I just noticed.

I just wanted to say In The Heat Of The Night is one of my all time favorite shows. The plots ,the cast the beautiful town of Covington GA was a perfect blend that can't be duplicated today. I hope you and your family are doing well and are having a blessed life.
I sang at the Ernest Tubb Record Shop July 1991.
