This is very exciting considering the rising costs of V9958's. ($40-$70 on eBay, last time I checked!) I think I'll try to make use of this in my Pugputer 6309 project. Since there's no worries about compatibility in this case, maybe I can learn how to implement some enhanced features.

probably you don't want to remove a 9938 from a real MSX2

if it has a 9918/9928. Some MSX1 have an integrated MSX-Engine IC all included. These we cannot do anything.

hi, nice. do the VDP command and VRAM access work more slower or faster than original chip?

Great job, but would you please consider the Nabu computer too? I purchased all the parts to assemble the VGA/HDMI adapter

Well it works there too but there is no use. This version does not have VGA output only HDMI.
