I dont know man, trolling 1st Dan players is not really what I would consider to be funny. The rest was good but considering over half the video was just trolling new players with strings and throws its actually not that good of a video.

As a beginner who really wants to get into the game, this kind of shit is just disencouraging. I fought a Kunimitsu not so long ago, and god, was that cancerous. They would stay with their backs to me, and not fight for an entire round/lose on purpose, then smoke me the next round. It's like... I get it, you're better than me at the game, but could you at least give me the respect of fighting seriously? This is something that I will never get about pvp games, and the main reason why I mostly stay away from it: I don't get how some people's idea of a good time is ruining the fun of other players.

Don’t get discouraged with this shit. People who troll others are not good players, they just have spent more time on the game than you. When I started playing online I was trolled as well but that made me think on the game. This trolling shit is way too easy to counter if you work on your basics. I would play extra patiently with these guys and could beat them after few games. I would add them as friend as well and once I became better I could beat them. The trolling would stop…. Please don’t hate the game. I think it’s beautiful as it gives you a fair chance to beat the trolls if you do your homework right.

the reactions can differ vastly. When I meet someone obviously new, I dont pressure them too hard, dont combo too hard and dont use hard mixups/CH setups etc. i mean, i COULD destroy them and that would show "respect" in one mans eye, but be just demotivating for someone else. When I do that, some ppl react positively, are really happy that I give them time to learn in a match against a real opponent (not an AI), some even messaged me afterwards and went for more rounds after dinner/whatever. Others seem to feel like you and dont rematch. Long story short: You cant always clearly tell the intention of your opponent. some of them dont mean to disrespect. They just want to let you play the game, instead of completely smashing you. Im one of the latter. Where is the fun in smashing a new player? I dont need the artificial feeling of superiority :>

@@Merumya I get going easy on new players. From what you told me, you seem to just dial down your ability when you're facing someone who is clearly outmatched against you. This one player I mentioned wasn't going easy, they were trolling. And the stuff from the video, also isn't going easy, it's clearly trolling. It's trying to have fun at the expence of players with less experience than you, and to me, that's extremely scummy. But them's the breaks right? I'm still grinding at ranked, so I didn't get discouraged in the end lol.

At least learning how to counter the trolling, then eventually pulling it of in a real match still feels amazing. Stuff like that is what fighting games are all about honestly. I think the anonymity of drive-by ranked matches lends itself to more trolly encounters by its nature though. A good alternative might be 1 on 1 player matches that are more personal

I finally got to stay in green ranks with kazuya after a few months of practice, and this is exactly the shit that almost made me give up at the beginning. I don’t understand how this level of spam can be fun for anyone aside from maybe doing it once against a friend.

@@Ty1350 bold of you to assume that it isn't fun. it must be a blast because although I hate winning when I feel like I didn't deserve it, it feels like most players don't mind doing anything at any cost just to win. I played less than 100 hours of T7 and at least a third of every opponent where using king and just trying to get chain throws. most of them where so stupid that even landing a lot of them wasn't enough to win against me. I must have fought at least some 30 different kings and at maximum 5 or less of them actually outplayed me, you could see that they were reacting and adapting to the way I played, and were just smarter/superior to me. the rest just spammed 50/50s and throws and hoped for it to worked. and the most infuriating thing is that most times it works. I despise knowledge checks so much that I just refuse to learn how to play against king, but it is not only him. a lot of characters rewards being idiotic and having absolutely no plan or strategy. the worst I have ever seen is kunimitsu. I can't describe how much I HATE that little satan spawn dressed as a fox.

oh, and about braindead spamming, there was a cursed time in mk11 when sheeva had an unblockable move that was actually so hard to evade that pro players couldn't do it consistently. this meant that the moment she landed the first unblockable stomp on you, she could just keep repeating it over and over and over and over and there wasn't much you could do about it. I actually met a lot of sheevas in that time that did just that, just tried to zone you out while you desperately tried to rush her down, and the second she landed the stomp, it was probably over. it was so ridiculous that it didn't even seemed like real. it got so bad that a pro player began playing tournaments using sheeva and started to land stomps on pro players over and over, and it was deliciously embarassing. He named his variation "why did NRS do this" (NRS=netherrealm studios). It got so bad that NRS had to take a decision. And they did. They banned him from competing. Long story short: it made them look so bad, SO BAD, that they ended up being almost forced to nerf the move. But the trauma was already done. What I'm trying to say is that big publishers feels like fighting games aren't as popular as they could be because of the skill gap, so they think that making cheap moves and characters is a valid mechanism to counter that. And to be honest I don't know if it works to any extent for casual players, but what I can say for sure is that it always makes me reflect about my life choices, mainly the stupid choice to play fighting games thinking it will be fun...

At first you seemed to enjoy the challenge of annoying moves then in the second one you seem to be saying that the broken moves aren’t fun to play against (jokingly?). I didn’t mean that spammy moves are *never* fun to play against; that’s why I said they might be fun to use against a friend once in a while. But in ranked, it sucks to play against characters like negan because they hardly have to do anything to beat *most* people. At least king players have to know which throws to use and whatnot, just a few of negan’s moves can cover most situations

Im glad this KZreadr is learning how to make videos, it takes a lot of practise, but the more you do the more of your own style you develop, and itd be great to have more tekken content creators.

Yeah there really is no way to win against new players. I think Anakin had a good point when he said you can always practice somehting no matter who you're playing, so when I'm in this scenario, I usually try to work throw breaks or just solidfying my reactions to couple tools they use

Creator already knows this, but bad call picking on newbies. I don't get why experienced players can't just play defensively and just use movement and punishment to beat them and show a good example. Also to the creator, the edits could use a bit more work. I could see where you were wanting it to go, but the cuts and sporadic use of effects made it feel a bit flat. I do hope you keep at it, it takes time to develope your own style of video.

That argument is bs. Players, especially newbies exploring a game, take their own time in learning new things, no matter how long it takes and how simple that thing might be. You really think screaming "just sidestep bro" on their faces would help them learn? It would only confuse them and, ultimately, make them drop the game entirely because they still dont have the muscle memory or instinct to counter such fast paced (or at least they think are fast paced) moves. It's like showing a lay man a rocket you built and going "just learn rocket science, bro"

@@seanwaynegabule2202 exactly. If I match with players that are worse than me, I make it a challenge to only use defense, movement, and punishment. Why blow a new player up when you can build them up. I really only discovered how good side stepping was when I learned about Asuka side step 2 and Xiaoyu side step 4 in Tag 2. Had I played online and seen someone using the sidestep properly, I would have started using it much earlier! If I notice I get knocked down evertime I use a certain move, if stop using it. Getting constantly jabbed is not a normal tactic, makes it so you can't jab back, and flusters you as a new player. With a clear head, you might realize you can duck. Letting players that are weaker than you use their entire offense and shutting it down with fundamentals is something they can shoot for or try to figure out. Blowing them up when they don't even know 10 moves on their own main is not interesting or helpful.

Don't take the dbd community seriously anywhere. Reddit or otherwise lol.

I mean I get the complaints about bullying...but why are you playing ranked for fun??? Just do player match where you can literally create your own groups of exactly who you want to play with or idk play with your actual friends. Not sure why you would play the competitive mode in a 1v1 fighting game for casual "fun"
