I love the TK8 panel!!!, and I love the mask calculator! Wasn't using the object selection as much as the quick selection tool. You made me a believer on that. Don't think I'll try the other method, as I am so used to using the mask calculator. I use it in a variety of ways on every image I work on! Great video. I always learn new ways to do things. It's always great to have more tools in the tool box to tackle issues.

I watch a lot of Photoshop KZread Videos. I can easily say you have the best. I was always debating on getting the TK panel. But I am so glad I did - I can't believe how much better and easier it has made my editing. But it is all your TK Fridays that made me feel so comfortable with it. I love how you supply the original image. How we can follow along. I never used the notes before - But I started using those as well - Makes it so much easier to get the concepts. But you have so much repetition that it really ingrains the concepts in your brain. But you are always giving us new things as well. I now edit the images on my own and compare them to how you do them. Thank you for a great channel

Pairing it with TK8, as you have shown, takes it to a whole new level. This may be a type of TK8 tutorial to do more of by focusing on a select feature of TK8 and showing creative uses of it. Thanks for keeping this series going.

Excellent demo, Dave, on how to combine hard-edge Object Selection tool selections with naturally feathered pixel-based masks (luminosity/color/zone masks) to make some extremely precise adjustments. It's a powerful combination. And kudos for figuring out two different ways to do this using TK8. Thanks also for the in-depth look at the Object Selection tool settings. Going forward I think it will be easier to achieve the results I'm hoping for.

Hi Dave, Once again you've done a great job of teaching us some new tricks. The first method seems a little less 'messy' than the second, although I like them both. I'll probably use both methods from now on and see if there are some circumstances that one works better than the other. Probably not, but you never know unless you try it out. Looking forward to next week, to more interesting techniques to use on our own photos. Between your tutorials and Sean Bagshaw's I'm becoming a Photoshop convert. It's nice to have ON1 and Luminar Neo but it's a far better feeling when you can achieve such great results without reverting to those. Thanks again for a great video, see you next week.

Yet another great video from Dave which not only gives an in-depth explanation of the Object Selection Tool but how to integrate it into the TX8 Panel. My first instinct was to prefer Method 1 but there is merit in Method 2. Nice to have a choice and a great image with which to experiment. The TX8 Panel is now so integrated into my workflow that I am not sure how I would work with it. I wish there were more 'Dave's' out there. Have been experimenting with DXO PhotoLab 6, a great RAW processor which can be nicely integrated into Photoshop - thanks to a great video by Dave. Unfortunately, DXO do not provide any deep dive training and nearly all the third-party videos are not in the same ballpark as Dave's, which is annoying. Great program but without proper training it is useless!
