The toaster trick is the bomb. I'm daily cleaning it, and all the unreachable, unshakeable crumbs make me crazy. I live in TX and I don't want to give the critters any excuse to plague me. Can't wait to try it.

the worst part of wearing a cape every day is it gets caught on everything. like i really hate it when i walk through revolving doors and the cape gets caught after i come out and i get dragged back in. like wtf

For the people who have a dirtier toaster or stuck crumbs. 1. I use a straw cleaner brush to get the stuck crumbs. 2. I also want to try a chopstick with a cut off sponge piece wrapped on the chopstick so i could use more pressure. 3. Also maybe an air spray for electronics to spray it out.

AWESOME! I've been trying to figure out how to clean the bottom of my toaster with a toothbrush, toothpicks - you name it and you nailed it! I'm a vacuum lover and I can't believe I never thought of this. THANK YOU!!!

OMG, I hated buying a pop up toaster for the very reason that I can't get to the bottom and cursed all toaster brands for not coming up with an insert removal idea, that would let me scrape the bottom with a tooth brush. But this is brilliant. I hope, its as easy as it looks. I am going to give this a try. Thank you for sharing.

I tried using canned compressed air - used for cleaning keyboards. It dislodged the crumbs but it was too powerful and just blew them around. I had more success when I used a straw to blow (with my mouth) the crumbs through to the bottom. Think I'll try a vacuum next. Thanks! I attach an old knee high stocking to my vacuum with rubber bands to vacuum in places I can't reach where I might not want to suck it into my vacuum. Tissues under the bed. Earrings behind a dresser. And... Beads that get away from my crafting table.
