A couple of things for anyone interested in buying this top. I just put it on today so I’ll come back in a few months to do a longevity review, but here’s what I’ve noticed so far. Let me start this off by saying that the price on these is RIDICULOUS. I paid $700 for mine. I get that it’s supposed to be one of the best tops, hence the name, but the price point is too high in my opinion. If you don’t have a problem paying some extra money, I think it’s probably worth it. I have a 1999 TJ. The top itself seems to be very high quality material and comes fairly well packaged. Many people say that you need to leave it lay out in the sun for an hour before installing it. I think it is a MUST. You WILL NOT get it on without letting it expand first. As far as screwing it in and buttoning it up, it is just like the original top, just be careful to not strip the screws out. You need to reuse your factory screws. All the windows fit well, and are tight but not too tight. Mine in particular came with the upper door skins, as I have half metal doors. The upper door skins are a complete PAIN IN THE ASS to get on. You have to cut your old skins out, as they are stitched over the metal frame that the new ones fit over. I get that it’s supposed to be tight on the frame, but it took me two hours and a few blisters to get the damn things on. You can get it all until the last corner. You have to stretch and pull over and over until it stretches enough to get it over the last corner. They look good, and are nice and tight, but be prepared for two hours of agonizing mental breakdowns and temper tantrums. Overall I think it’s a great top, I don’t know about $700, but I thought it would be worth it. Things I don’t like would be how hard it is to put the door skins on, and the smell. It smells like one of those rubber blow up swimming pools. I get that it’s vinyl and that might just be how it smells naturally, but I wish it wasn’t so in-your-face. Let that sucker roast in the sun with all the windows in, and if you get in with your eyes shut you might think you’re in a pool or some sort of chemical plant. The instructions aren’t great either, and tell you one of the tools you need is a shoe horn. I don’t know why the hell you’d need a shoe horn, cause I didn’t. Overall, good top. I’d buy it.

Such a great video, but poor lighting when it came down to the installation. Especially when attaching the top to the header. If you redo this, please have better lighting and focus on proper orientation of the header. It’s a great video and we’ll worth watching.

Why did you do this so fast? Why do I need a shoehorn to install? Pretty much a worthless video to help someone who has never installed one

Video is so dark it renders it completely useless. Please go slower and have appropriate lighting so that the viewer can ACTUALLY see what you’re doing to follow the instructions

This video was taken 12 years ago. The videos done now have more appropriate lighting and go slower so you can see and follow along better! Thank you for the feedback!
