In the shadow of the Rocky Mountain foothills in 1954, Tom Bradley started Bestop in a small upholstery shop in Boulder, Colorado. He envisioned a Jeep top that could easily open up to let in the pine-scented air and warm sun, making his drives even more enjoyable. So, he set to work with some canvas and a sewing machine. The idea of a soft top soon caught on, appealing to any Jeep owner hungry for driving adventure.
Today, Bestop is located in Louisville, Colorado, just a short drive up the road from where our journey began. We’ve grown to more than 500 employees world-wide and continue to make the world’s finest soft tops and accessories for Jeep CJ and Wrangler, plus an expanding line of light truck accessories. We are also excited to help drivers enjoy open-air adventures in the new Ford Bronco in 2021. All Bestop-branded soft tops are designed and manufactured in North America.

Wow,that’s nice!!!!
Got my Sunrider and the SunScreen installed thanks to @bxbomber24 's advice to skip the split washer. Then I broke off one of the acorn nuts/bolts at the very end; "overtighten" isn't terribly helpful without a torque spec. I used a small 7 mm wrench and went around tightening them all, but the last one snapped off before feeling as tight as the others. It is holding with just one bolt on that side, sent an email to Bestop to see what they say. Hoping I can pull the end cap and replace the broken bolt, but they'll probably tell me to return it on my dime since it's my fault (true but frustrating).
Need to get ya'll a QuietKat for that truck
Ok now show fitting it back in the storage bag.. putting it on is easy
I like that
Great video you help a lot thanks so much
It was American Bantam , and 1940, not '41.
Sorry but these guys don’t deserve to be involved in this
Too much air in the tiers
Idiot can't keep em on the ground
This may be a silly question but…can you leave the top up with any of the windows removed, in any combination? Like maybe just the back one out?
Ive driven long periods with all windows out and top up. At highway speeds, the back panels will flap a little. Its a good set up as it keeps the sun off of you and the inside a little dryer for a sudden storm.
okay so i bought one of these tops from someone for my 2018 jeep jk 4dr does those rear brackets for the 3 and 4 bars still fit the 2018 or do i need to buy different ones?
This was perfect! Just installed by using this instead of the manual lol. Thanks so much

Question on the Velcro retention straps, where are they installed and how necessary are they? (You did not mention them in the video and said you are ready to go without them installed.)
Where do i find those 2 bow pivet brackets i need them. Only found passenger side not driver side?
How can i find those 2 bow pivet brackets i need them, is passenger pivet also work for driver side
The music is annoying. Go back to the trextop nx bolts you can do by hand.
A must have for all Wrangler enthusiast.
Just installed my Sunrider top for a 4 door Bronco. Was a little confused on which hole was needed to attach the rail to the top. In the vid you said the second hole up front the bottom for the bolt and it would line up. . Did that and the top would not come all the way down. Removed it and went to the 3rd hole up from the bottom and that did the trick.
The channel is needed as well correct?
Missing the boat. Would more then triple sales if it worked with freedom panels
I did as a video says my sensor still do not work
THE FUGGIN SEALS!!! why not just have them come already attached?
Can this top be completely removed easily?
Eh, depends on what you consider easy. The windows come out easily, and the top folds open easily, but the frame and tubing is all bolted down to the roll bars of the Jeep. It's not hard to remove, but it does involve quite a bit of hardware, and you'll want an extra set of hands to lift the whole top off once it's unbolted.
If you want to swap the hard top back in for the winter, do you have to completely uninstall the soft top parts?
Considering my supertop cost me $1800. this video is absolutely atrocious! There are no useful tips for the most difficult parts of the process. Even simple stuff like making sure both rear window zippers are on the left is totally absent from this piece of crap. The written instructions are a joke, with hardly any "big picture" help (eg which way up the rear bow assembly goes together). Just crap. There, I feel better now.
See the offer the super topper or whatever you call it here with side windows. It should be an option when you buy it. Maybe even it should come with it for that matter. Hell maybe it should even have the option to add in the screen Windows for the sides or even an option where you can velcro a side screen window in from the inside that way if you decide you want to go sleep in the back of your truck, you just roll the window up a little bit or all the way or whatever and still have some air flow. A versatile soft top wow what a concept. Not trying to be a troll, literally trying to give you guys an idea to make a better product.
When it comes to installing the foam, you could definitely use some better angles because it’s unclear except for one frame and even that frame is a little bit quick and murky. You need a camera shot from the other side.
Is there a way to lock or secure it when riding with the top fully open.
😅Video is out of date and doesn't match the instructions and hardware. Someone had one job to do.
For what I just spent you would expect their install video to be updated. It isn’t. No more z clips. Now it is small threaded screws with crappy written instructions and no video.
How do I get an instruction manual and or new bolts/ nuts?
All of our instructions can be downloaded from our website, on the product page. Customer Service can help with the bolts/nuts, 800.845.3567, option 1, Monday through Friday from 8am to 4pm, MT.
This is exactly what I needed to get this done. Thanks!
There is no top arch bar in my Supertop Square Back box. Is it no longer included?
The arch bar hasn't been include in any of our tops for a little over a year now, it is available for purchase separately though by calling Customer Service at 800.845.3567.
I would buy 4 sets if bestop brought them back! Especially the twill OEM uppers.
I would love to get a twill top for my TJ, but the only color I can find is black, do they not make twill in spice?
Looks like Moab! I was just there!
Skipped installing door latches…..
Yes, 1 fits great the other needs to be slammed
Most of these steps should be done in factory as in MOPAR is. Bestop keeps selling every small bolt separately.
Is it worth taking down the whole top, as opposed to just partially? seems like alot of work plus you need a place to keep the windows etc
I’m having issues with the right side lift assist assembly. I believe mine came in warped and it is not fitting flushed
I should have gone with the mopar this is a cheaper down version
Just installed this top a few days ago and wouldn’t you know torrential downpours the very next day I am happy to say there were no leaks I love this top it looks great another great top from bestop at a very affordable price nice job well done
Thank you!
The new ones do not have the Z clip, They need to update the video and to show how difficult it is to install!!! extremely frustrating for what this thing cost!!
What an icon!
I entered!!! 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽😃
I just got a new replace a top for my TJ.. Will the instructions be much the same? Or is there a better video for the TJ model? Thanks
Is best top making a duster tunneau cover for the gen 6 2 door bronco?
There are no plans to make a Duster Tonneau cover for the Bronco, I'm sorry!
