TJ PRO V LAUNCH! Exclusive Interview with Taylor Jensen

Спорт

A longboard designed to excel in everyday conditions. When Taylor and Dan set out the guidelines were simple: make it fast, loose and free. A board that’s all about making surfing fun in a wide range of conditions without compromising performance. What came out of years of testing and refining is what you see in the TJPROV. An all conditions fun-formance longboard that excels in average 2-6ft surf.

How’s it? Would this go as a pure single fin as well? Or are the tail contours and rocker not really meant for that. Thanks

@HSS HSS Right on, many thanks, I was leaning towards the black.

@@hayesjf150 I am 220 and have ridden the black close to 6 times, still not sure about feeling flex, but I paired it with 7.5 tj signature and tj med fin, and can say I love that setup. It feels like a shortboard turn wise, and I feel a bit heavy for paddling it, but it planes nice, rides smooth with speed and finesse. Love it.

Taylor refers to riding it as a quad, which sounds amazing, but he doesn't clue us in on what quad fins... Obviously there are variables, but I would like to know what quad fins HE chooses... (I'm similar in size and weight). Thanks!!

So hypothetically, town. I guess which one is more suited for town waves if you don’t have multiple boards in your budget? Thanks!

Yep! I love you guys! Also picked up a HI4 in black during your sale and it just clicked for me. Have since sold the TJ. Though it is a fun board.

@@Mark-hj7hi you mind me asking what clicked with the HI4 then the TJ Pro? Also HI4 vs HIHP any thoughts? Thanks

I think anyone, including myself, would be happy with any of the three. The TJ pro v felt straight performance, while the HI4 is also is performance but has more glide to it. Also maybe the tail shape. The HI4 feels super smooth. I had the pro v in red construction, but I just didn’t vibe with its flex. Maybe my opinion would’ve been different if I tried it in black. Also have the HIHP, but if I were looking at a single board, I’d go HI4 for sure. Hihp is fun and paddles like a beast, but hi4 is just a little easier to catch, easier to surf in small waves, plenty good in bigger waves, easier to walk but also can be surfed from the back.

At 220 if almost feels easier to noseride than my 10 foot neoclassic. Board is so small and it planes great with the nose kinda angled up for a safe foray out there. Almost feels like it hydroplanes but tracks super well, even with a 7.5 center and 4 in tj side fins
