Such a great response to the WSL trying to kill the progress of modern longboarding. I enjoy the classic moves of all the competitors, but what is wrong with going vertical? Best of both worlds, IMHPO. Good on you Taylor!

Singleton looks excellent, I also like Special T really good with the right fin particularly 9'3" and 9'8" that somehow have extra nose rocker compared to 9'6". WSL emphasis on classics / antics was a disappointment for me too as I love TJ's speed, power and flow throughout turns and pretending that no longer deserves the points is pure politically correct stupidity. Hang 5 / 10 are perfectly cool but inability to score that against turns is missing the point. IMO WSL coasted along a bit with sponsors / industry attempt to develop the "emerging market segment" for logs and classic shapes across the global industry as from my experience only local shapers were still building classics on demand only - well now we have all these "classic logs" and "performance logs" pop-out-s on the market and we can relax and make longboard competitions look fun again. Joel Tudor is always awesome to watch but sorry, Kaniela Stewart looks boring to me even though I totally acknowledge his skills! Besides, the hand 10 emphasis only advantages small skinny people (surf to board specific bla, bla), why inherently cutting out a big guy able to carve spectacular turns??
