Kids of moms who’s husbands cheat always suffer because they witness first hand how their mom suffers. Moms suffering due to being cheated on is so hard for kids. It takes so much positive energy from being spent on the kid. To then have the dad flaunting the new girl in public would be devastating for the mom to see, causing more suffering, which ultimately puts more negativity on the kid to bear.

The humiliation that the kids are going through at school is so sad. People should stay with their spouses until the kids are 18, unless there is abuse. Selfish immature adults who leave their spouses and young kids are wrong and going to hell.

Sometimes. Speaking from experience , some kids wondered why parents stay with a cheater. Children are smart, they know what is going on between their parents. Remember TJ has cheated before. Amy kids can be harmed also. Her older kids know that she has been accused of cheated in the past.

As a black woman I blame TJ whose ego is larger than his head. He disrespected his parents , his wife and child. He should have divorce her then go public with Amy. As a mother of black sons and daughters I am sadden that TJ is a public figure who my boys look up to. Cheating happens every day but it does not mean it is Acceptable.

The temptation in their case had to be great. I have never seen two people so happy together. Just saw someone’s KZread of their “greatest” moments on air. There shouldn’t be one person who could doubt they weren’t cheating with one another. Its very sad. Their spouses could have been wonderful people, but the excitement they have with one another cant be denied. After being married decades, most people do want that kind of spark in a relationship. Time will tell if it was lust or love with these two.

I have two grandparents who as children both watched their fathers leave their mothers. I'm not a psychologist, but it's very clear that the trauma has affected multiple generations. We can trace back a lot of family traits such as anger, passive aggressiveness, gender favoritism, etc. Our grandparents had to adopt unhealthy coping mechanisms in order to survive. Unfortunately these were passed down to our parents, and in turn our parents passed these traits down to us, with new ones of their own as well. There are the numerous broken marriages, tumultuous relationships. Not knowing how to have a healthy relationship. Not knowing how to communicate. And in our generation, a lot of us are not getting married and having children. I can say that TJ Holmes is leaving his daughter quite a legacy. He might not know his grandchildren or great grandchildren, but they will know him well by the fruits of his actions. He will live on in them through the trauma inheritance he gave his wife and daughter.

Now this Black police officer who was 47 years old started cheating on her and dating a Black 25 year old. You know what it seems that his wife found out he was cheating and she wrote a post of Facebook all depressed. One day after he came from work she killed him and then killed her self- murder suicide.

Yes, he was married for 12 years, but he was still playing.

We’re forgetting that he was married twice. Some men love to be in love but aren’t wired for the work it takes to make a relationship last. He and Amy will not last. I promise you.

Your marriage is over when it’s spiritually broken. The paperwork is the transactional part. Simple as that.

This just shows how weak of a man TJ really is. Most men that get caught cheating will say "Hey, you got me, but I wasn't happy with you anyway. This is my new lady. I want a divorce." Instead, TJ hid out in his apartment for weeks at a time. The only time we saw him was when the paparazzi snapped photos of him and Amy sneaking out to the store. He decided over the holiday break to be bold and brazen because "I can do what I want" right? Well, I wonder how his little girl feels right about now having watched her mother cry late at night with no explanation. I'm sure Amy's girls are outraged and embarrassed by their mother's actions. All TJ had to do was stay separated from Marilee and ask for a divorce. The guy gets no respect from me ever again.

I don't think they make things better on kids by pretending everything is honky dory. This is complicated because they work together, families spent time together and this couple work together on a major network. This is all being played out everyday in public. That's what's so weird about this entire GMA cheating scandal.

I think these guys are totally off the mark with how the whole situation will affect the kids. It’s one thing to see your parents split up. It’s another thing to see it play out in media and your dad strutting around with his new lady all smiles. Kids usually take the divorce of a parent personally. They will wonder what did they do wrong? Some kids will believe the parent who leaves no longer loves them. That in itself is a lot. If TJ and Amy are truly in love and they intend to be together they should have given more thought to their children. As it stands now they have set themselves up for a lot of resentment and anger from their children. They may learn to accept the situation but most likely, they will harbor a lot of bitterness. The children will resent the person they blame for the split. All I can say is they better buckle up because a resentful child can cause huge problems in a relationship.

Amy’s kids were already in the process of dealing with the divorce of their parents and they are older. TJ’s wife was in denial even though he told her who he was so I’m sure the daughter had no clue. Just Cruel and inconsiderate of both Amy and TJ not to consider others in this mess. SMDH…

It is so traumatic because children do not understand adult issues…. It wouldn’t take much for TJ to show simple respect especially since all this is so new in the public. Sometimes you have to wonder about that…Perhaps you just have to not get to the point where you find that out with the other person. Most people are not on a TV show having to spend that much time with someone outside their marriage, but I guess it also happens at any workplace.I’ve never been in that position. but if tj wasnt happy for long time before they have son or not why not file divorce her wife? why divorce now? this her second married first married tj the one who divorce her wife or tj wait amy divorce almost final then divorce her wife like her plan so she and amy can be married. is like plan tj knew amy divorce almost final and will be free from her husband not married but at same time both alrdy in relationship before both file for divorce or separate 👍 so for easy tj knew that day will come amy divorce her husband then her turn file for divorce so they both can be together like right now
