He reminds me a lot of one of my favorites, the great, Charles Lloyd-- as well as Henderson. For years I've always thought in terms of color. Can totally relate to what he's describing.

Those who can't hear chords are harmonies at a disadvantage! There are many who don't play mechanical instruments but can sing and hear harmonies off one tone naturally. Great reminder and I can hear Sonny Rollins/ George Coleman are great influences on you!

At 1:18, are you playing thinking in Bb (it would then be Bb D F A --- Bb C# E A) or still in C (same notes as what you metioned while playing the piano) ? And if you play thinking in Bb, then when you play with a pianist, do you hear what he does also in Bb ? I would be so grateful if you could answer me, i'm having a little trouble with this !

Tim Garson from what I hear he’s thinking ii V I in Eb Concert. So F-9 starting on the 3rd gives you. (Ab C Eb G ) to Bb13 b9 (Ab B D G) so Ab Major to Ab melodic minor.

This from someone calling themselves "guide me Christ". Just be quiet and people may think you're dumb, but don't express yourself and remove all doubt 🤨
