They actually both were chasing over the weekend and met up several times! I believe they both even intercepted the same tornado, if not they at least both intercepted that day!!

@@joeysipos After the release of his IMAX film Tornado Alley, it's my understanding that he returned to his life as a film maker. Not to mention some of the guys from the Storm Chasers show who drove one of the other vehicles were killed that year by a tornado. One slip up and its curtains.

That was a pretty good intercept, the blue hue while you were navigating the town gave the tornado quite an eerie feel. Also, I do hope you have sealed all of the leaks that plagued the TIV all the time on the show, the rain looked to be coming down in absolute buckets.

It’s so good to see TIV2 back in action YALL should make more videos of intercepting then I would watch all of them (I keep rewatching storm chasers because of TIV2)

I'll never fully appreciate how many things have to align to get an intercept vehicle into a tornado!

Grew up watching it on TV & just a few months ago I saw you guys show up near Menard TX on a supercell through Reed's livestream. Same. I became a storm chaser myself partly because of this show. Seeing TIV 2 back out there is a big deal.

Seeing the TIV on the road again is amazing, After seeing the EF3 intercept in 2013 I knew that it was about as capable as the get, hope y'all get more intercepts and happy chasing!

What were the winds during that intercept

Good job I guess. This definitely counts as an intercept since the tornado was pretty close to you guys based on what I believe was the inflow. Would've been nice if we could actually see the thing though and that this wasn't another dark, rainy intercept like Smith Center, KS, 2013. 😂

Certainly wont go down as a top photogenic intercept but the funnel you see towards the end went right over top which is why you end up seeing power flashes on the left and then right side of us

A helmet is such a simple thing but I imagine they’re especially useful for storm chasers. Hail, in particular!

How high is that camera mounted outside the vehicle? Is it on an antenna or something?

@@willekewk the ef scale isnt based on wind speeds but is based on damage for example the el reno tornado had wind speed of 302 mphs yet was given a rating of ef3

This would be so much better with a more composed driver who isn't constantly running her mouth. Sean's original driver was great.

per the Wikipedia it says they put sirens on the vehicle since they were in storms where they were unable to warn residents of incoming tornadoes. they use it to warn nearby people of imminent danger

You know one of these days, one of these interceptors may just intercept the wrong one. This is fuck around and find out just waiting to happen between dom3 and tiv2. Hope that isn’t the case ever but you know..

Why do they have police sirens?

The sound of the howling winds is horrifying, especially when paired with the apocalyptic ambient lighting.

A word to your team, I'm sure that Sean is in his SUV with spikes (which sounds like a bad idea because 1. No armor, 2. No good may to film it 3.the winds gonna get underneath) But I'm sure there's more things that you could cover for us and don't mention the video you made about where is Sean Casey because that information was kinds useless. I also feel like you need to get more footage on the platform because where else would you show it? Also I have a question about your motivation to intercept tornadoes, other than science of course.

We do live stream on FB and Tiktok. But livestreaming is not as useful as you think, its low quality low bit rate video, TIV has always been designed for professional video/film work.

Just a idea I'm sure your having fun off line chasing storms without having to deal with live videos but the public at large will come with subscription and watch hours if u take this famous vehicle and make them feel involved like the tv show did. Putting us in the dome and driver's seat as you chase storms
