    Very thorough evaluation. That alone earned my subscription. I wanted the get some at3's, but I went with the RT for my application( both diesel superduty trucks), as I've gotten 50k miles out of my last set of 35's and zero traction issues, even in 3ft deep snow. Was filling my radiatior grill with snow and overheating. I woild say snow traction in fresh snow is pretty outstanding from my testing. Pretty quiet on the road with good traction, great in the mud. They do tend to dig in deep sand however. Wet traction on road isnt the best, but easily acceptable. For me, the value, grip, longevity, and overall performance in all conditions is so good, that I have bought three sets of 35's now, and not one bit disappointed. Just ordered yet another set this morning. Nice video on these.

    Had the R/T on my 2018 Cummins and loved them, but they weren't available when I just tried to put them on my 2020 Power Wagon. I installed the Ridge Grapplers instead, but feel the R/T is a better tire ride wise. The R/T is build on the M/T carcass where the Ridge Grappler is built on the A/T carcass and I'm sure this will make a difference in wear and longevity.

    Have had my Toyo RTs on for about 25,000 miles. Very happy so far on my 3500 Mega SRW. 35x12.50x17. Run 55psi front and 35psi rear. 45 in the rear if I’ve got a heavy load. Keep a load chart handy in the console. I didn’t have any issue with them in snow last winter.

    I run the ridge grapplers on my super duty. Just make sure you keep up with your rotations or you will get some noise as they wear. Probably applies to all tires with an aggressive pattern. The tires are good through. I do know people that have run the RTs to 90k miles. My ridges grapplers won't come close to that.

    I have 37x12.5x20 Ridge Grapplers on my F350 LWB. I like it quiet, and have always had Nitto, Toyo and BF Goodrich AT tires and switched to these Ridge Grapplers. They are a little louder but are much better in the dirt getting my trailers and equipment to the job site..It also looks like they wear about the same which is about 40k miles

    I have since changed to Yokohama X-AT.. I liked them the same as the other Hybrid tire from Nitto Ridge grapplers...but still only getting 35-40k miles out of them before tread gets low to my liking. I went back to a true AT. tire. The Falken Wild Peaks. These tires get my heavy equipment in the jobsite without clogging up. They are almost as quiet as the stock Michelons and they are great in the mud and snow. They wear like iron way better than any AT from Nitto, Toyo and BFG. Only negative is the side walls don't look as aggressive as the Ridge Grappler, RT's or the X-AT's but look more like the BFG KO's. All I know is they last and they are quiet. One thing I can't stand is hearing frickin noise at 25000 miles and then have to hear that for another 10-15000 miles.

  • @15Jeep
    @15Jeep4 жыл бұрын

    The Right (Best) tire for a truck??? Two variables -----> width and tread are seldom mentioned regarding geographical location (climate) of the owner, need and use. 1. Wide tire for sand and Narrow for snow. 2. Mud or Snow ...or both should determine the tread (lug) pattern...and not so much the brand name of the tire. For both mud and snow use....the Interco TrXus tire along with two Goodyear Wrangler tires...the DuraTrac and MT/R with Kevlar are great. The Goodyear Wrangler tires have decent lugs for mud...and siping to bite on snow packed roads. Most Toyo and Nitto tires are great for sand and mud use......but not the best for snow. Furthermore, Toyo tires tend to be a smidge wide compared to other tires...better for sand, but not the best for snow. The Falken A/T3W is great for snow, but not so good in the mud. Not many choices for a great mud tire with lots of siping to grip on snow packed roads. It would be awesome if the Goodyear Wrangler tires were made in a more narrow width...like the Nitto Trail Grappler M/T 37 x 11.50 - 20 ----> and this tire needs siping on the lugs. Yes.....NOT 12.50.....Nitto makes a 37 x 11.50 - 20. Actual Nitto measurements are 36.77 x 11.42.

    I agree with the squishy side walls on the Duratrac. I only run them in winter. I don't like the way they drive or wear on dry mountain roads. They typically come off in early May. I will look at the Toyo CT. However I am nervous to try Toyos in the snow again. For my driving I really don't care about mileage on tires. Nothing last well on mountain roads. Almost always a higher mileage tires is a harder compound and thus not great for snow driving and even rain. I tend to stay away from tires that brag about higher mileage.

    Rhinopkc I’ve had them on my 06 ram 2500 for a little over a year now. So far, they’ve held up great, tread life has been great, it’s seen some light off roading as well, and even a snow run up the MET in NorCal. Performed really well there too. I’m sure there are more aggressive tires that might perform a little better off road, but my truck sees more streets than trails

    I wouldn’t get any of these. I have had them all on various Raptors. The BFG KO2’s are the hands down the best A/T tire out there. The Ridge Grapplers made more noise brand new than nearly bald KO2’s. The Toyo’s look cool but man you will hate them as they age, if you are over 30yrs old and hate vibrations from cupped tires. I know I am going to catch comments about them looking like brains. I am hear to tell you if you have brains you will buy this tire 🧠😎. Keep the air pressure when on Road at 40-44PSI and this tire will wear perfectly down to literally bald.

    And if you are going to run these on your RAM, keep in mind that you are not going to want to run the same high tire pressure called for with the OEM tires, which means you need to re-set your TPMS for a lower pressure. Guess what - CJC can help you with that. These guys no one what they are doing. Glad I chose them for my truck! 🤘🏼🤠
